"Let me start by saying that because I can cook my standards for eating out are very high. If I’m paying my money then I expect the food to be on the level or better than mine (pics included are my food). I read reviews for this place for 30 minutes but still decided to give them a chance. The first indication that this was going to be a disappointment was walking into a freshly mopped floor that smelled like dirty mop water. I ordered a Yummie special (pancakes, turkey sausage, eggs scrambled well no cheese, cheese grits) and my partner ordered a shrimp & grits. We waited 20 minutes and no food. A gentleman came over and asked us what we ordered and after another 7-10 minutes we finally got our food on utilitarian plasticware. The eggs had cheese and were runny, the pancakes tasted like box mix, and the shrimp & grits were too salty. The only redeeming qualities of this place are the gentleman Andre who is very friendly and engaging & the music selection."

"I had the pleasure to eat at Yummies Cafe recently I walked over to the restaurant while changing my car at the EVgo charging station and I must say, their fish & grits combo blew me away! When you dine out, what you’re really looking for is an experience, and I guarantee, Yummies Cafe does not disappoint. From the moment you enter, you can appreciate the cozy and laid back ambiance, Speaking of, let’s get into my absolute favorite - the fish & grits. First up, the fish - I was thoroughly impressed. It was excellently prepared; crispy on the outside and beautifully flaky on the inside. You could taste the freshness of the fish, which was generously seasoned but not overwhelming so it didn't mask the natural sweetness of the fish itself. It was a feat of balance and restraint – a testament to the chef’s skills. Now, onto the accompanying grits, wow! Well-cooked and creamy, it provided a comforting base to the perfect fish. This simple yet flavorful side truly surprised me. Seasoned to perfection with a delightful creamy texture that was neither too runny nor too dense. If you haven’t tried grits before, or your previous experiences have let you down, give Yummies Cafe a try, they may change your mind. Lastly, I would just add that the portions were very generous and the pricing reasonable, offering great value for such high quality food. Service, too, was friendly and efficient, leaving me feeling both satisfied and valued as a customer. Overall, I had a thoroughly enjoyable time at Yummies Cafe. The standout fish & grits has left a lasting impression on me and I can't recommend it enough. I’ll surely be dining there again soon and hope you’d be just as curious to try some for yourself. You won't be disappointed!"

"Finally got a chance to try Yummies and I was not disappointed. The customer service was excellent! I even met the owner and he was very friendly. The food was fresh, hot and very, very good. They give you a good amount of food for the price. The pancakes were really delicious. I asked for extra butter and was told it was cooked into the pancakes. Gave it a try and you could taste the difference. The grits were hot and creamy as they should be. Everything was good. I would definitely eat here again."

"I ordered the Jaz special on Doordash which should have came with a salmon croquette. It didn't. I got potatoes with onions instead. I don't even like that. And I tried to use my fork to cut a piece of pancake and I couldn't! i had to use a knife because the pancakes were so burnt! I never knew pacakes could be so tough to eat like a well done steak! I tried to go to this place in person a few months ago, and when I walked in, I literally stood there for 10 min. 5 min at the door and then another 5 by the bar/register area. I walked out. No welcome in or anything so I SHOULD have known what I was getting myself into then. But here I go giving them another chance on Doordash this time... NEVER AGAIN. smh"
