"This McDonalds location has gone downhill. From the very unenthusiastic and rudely impatient employee working the drive thru to the confusion about which order was ours to them then charging for the extra pickles but then not putting any on at all. Fries didn’t taste salted at all and seemed like they tossed old in with fresh. Overall food was OK but the employees really need to get more training on their interactions with customers as well as double checking their food to make sure it’s correct. Our order was not that big (3 meals and a happy meal) . I understand it was a lot of teens working but they definitely need a little help in the customer service part of their jobs. Willing to try again at another date to see if my experience is the same."

"I asked 3 times about a drink upcharge to a medium drink on a happy meal. I was assured at the payment window that no, It wasn't a medium upcharge and they had fixed it. I get to the food window and sure enough it's a medium. When i said something to the young man working that window, The only response was " Aww, I'm sorry. " And handed it to me. Her fries weren't fresh ( I swiped a couple going down the road.. who can resist?) and her cheeseburger had little hard black specks of something burnt in it. If I lived closer I would've brought it back and spoken to the manager about the issues. I know not to go back to the Mars Hill location.. It used to be my favorite because the food was always fresh, the employees helpful, and it's on the way home from church."

"Great Service and they staff is always pleasant and curtious. Food is consistent like all McDonald’s. You always know what you are getting. It’s typical fast food. But the staff makes it a pleasurable experience."

"Very inconsistent. I was in the area for four weeks and stopped by 3 times total. I had great service one day with no mistakes, then mistakes and terrible service the other days. The most recent, my frappe wasn’t even filled to the top, and it had way too much caramel. But the reason I ordered it was because two weeks prior it was filled to the top and pretty good (at this same location). While I was ordering at the kiosk, another customer came in to complain about something she bought for her kid, but the employee brushed her off. When the customer left I could hear that same employee openly and loudly badmouthing that customer although they didn’t cause any big problem and just wanted the mistake corrected… I was tricked by the one good time to come back… clearly I was just lucky that day."
