"Our kiddo is happy & feels loved here! She has continued to thrive despite changing routines, expectations, & teachers/staff in the few months she has gotten to experience PreK. As parents, we have been frustrated often with a lack of communication after the sudden changeover from DP to the Nest happened - it was LOTS of changes rapidly, but it does seem to be evening out finally. It initially felt like the “The Nest” corporation swooped in & prioritized updating their outer appearances rather than making sure the retained staff and families felt comfortable with the massive changes they were implementing (only 2-3 weeks into a new school year!). Which has been a bummer because our older son attended here previously & we always felt “in the loop” & like a priority. This is nothing about the actual staff either- I believe the shift is all from “above” in the bigger corporation with stricter & more sterile rules/regulations, alongside almost no communication after the initial paperwork went out. The building does look beautiful & updated now, as does the playground & landscaping all around. I truly think if the transition between owners had occurred over the summer we would have had less frustration as parents- so we are hopeful going forward. Update: It has been around a month since writing this review, & the communication has continued to be nonexistent & more empty statements have been made. Unfortunately for them, I am my rating unless we see some actual changes being made to improve communication & stability of staff."

"Discovery Point was the most amazing place and it’s so sad to see what they have done to that amazing school. A fancy new building will never compare to the love my children received at Discovery Point. This has now turned into a money hungry corporation with employees who don’t really want to be there anymore after experiencing the best. Any original staff left will love your children for sure- they truly were AMAZING. But they are slowly but surely leaving. This is becoming a type of Montessori school which in my opinion is always a joke curriculum wise. The playground is not even a real playground. The billing system is awful. They make kids sleep with the lights on for “safety” even though they could easily put lamps on to be able to still “see their skin and making sure they’re breathing”….I’m sure there are worse daycares in the area, but try looking elsewhere…. This is a transition that I wish would have never happened but I’m so lucky I found another daycare for my kids. They are much better off now."

"We have been at the Nest School since it was Discovery Point, a total of four years. While the transition has been hard for many involved to include those of us families, the carry over staff including director and assistant director has kept the spirits up. This has been a learning curve for all, especially the kids. But thru it all, from our perspective things have been good. Going into the new curriculum as a parent have been hesitant however our daughter seems to be doing well. Overall we would recommend"

"We love this school! Transitioning to a new owner can be difficult and scary, but luckily we still have the same great people working there! They have been very responsive to any concerns I’ve had, and the billing department has worked with me to make the transition to automatic payments as easy as possible. I’m excited about the new curriculum, and can’t wait for my little ones to learn Spanish! And I LOVE the building and playground upgrades!"

"We love the staff and people who transitioned from Discovery Point. The Nest company policies on payment options are the worst I've ever seen, and paying upfront for an entire month is out of reach for many people and feels intentionally discriminatory to those who cannot afford to pay while punishing weekly payments with fees. If you pay with anything other than a direct bank draft, you will get a 2.75 percent fee on every transaction, which is also a lot. These policies make it feel more like a cash grab than a place that was about the families and children, as the previous owner did. We really hope the upgrades make this worth it, but it's a hard pill to swallow."
