"Cato Fashions: We want to share a story with you. You have at least one true angel working in your Marietta, Ohio store and we want to share our story of gratitude! Our sister/daughter/aunt, Elizabeth Tucker, had passed away in a tragic automobile accident on Wednesday night. Losing a family member is never easy for anyone, but losing someone so young, with a young daughter and in that way, is completely devastating. On Saturday, we had already gone through some extremely traumatizing dealings from the car crash when we realized that we had to make the “dreaded shopping trip” for funeral attire. We live in a small area and are very thankful that we have a Cato Store as a resource, but I didn’t realize how lucky we were until that day. My daughter and I arrived first. To most people, we probably just appeared to be a mother and daughter shopping on any Saturday. Kristine Efaw noticed that we were definitely not enjoying ourselves and asked how she could help. I explained that we were there for funeral clothes and she responded with such compassion! From bringing TONS of items to the dressing room and even going next door for an ice water, she truly went above and beyond to help a family of strangers! The rest of our family soon arrived, and as each one of us chose an outfit she began to steam each piece so that we wouldn’t have to be tasked with that aspect either! Kristine ended up outfitting all 6 of us in a very short period of time. In the worst time of our lives, she managed to save us a great deal of stress and somehow even made it fun! During the last two weeks, we have been absolutely speechless at the outpouring of love, prayers, and support from our community. We want Kristine to know that she made a huge difference during our time of tragedy and that we truly can’t thank her enough!"

"The girls seemed nice and were helpful, especially at Xmas for my husband. The manager at the Marietta store only, went out and bought gift boxes and wrapping paper to wrap what you bought. This was appreciated greatly by my husband. I hope they continue to do this, for I am sure there were others who greatly appreciated this thoughtfulness, too."
