Roses Discount Store

"Moved to Moultrie from Atlanta almost 2 years ago. I've tried to understand this store's employee's but it's impossible. I come here because I loved roses as a kid. I spent my summers here with my grandparents. But 30 years later it has changed to a place that scares me and gives me anxiety. For the1st year everytime I leave this store after checkout the alarm goes off..come to find out it's my purse being a Michael kors is why. So they get to stop me grab my purse get loud so everyone is staring. I've never stolen in my life.. but they make me feel like a criminal. Of course nothing is stolen but they get to humiliate me and I guess that makes them feel important. Then one day a new employee said it's my purse and wallet having a sensor that needs to be turned off and she would do that for me.. that was all it needed.. I thanked her so much. Now I know all those other girls knew that too but chose not to tell me because they get some kind of rush out of stopping me and yelling.. And I never saw that girl again.. I'm sure she got in trouble for helping me because I saw the other employees stop what they were doing to look at her helping me.. They make it their mission to seek me out and make sure I leave in tears. I ask for help getting a window unit out of my buggy. The sweet new girl checking me out asked the manager to get some help for me with the window unit. And the manager looks at me and laughs Tells me "no one can help you and says get it out the same way you got it in there". Well your assuming I got it in there.. maybe someone helped me. Of course someone helped me get it in my cart. But now she will make sure no one helps me. A customer did come to my rescue when they saw me struggling. I'm 4'11 and 100lbs. The time b4 that I was in roses the manager yells at me from across the store. I think she cant be yelling at me but of course she was. I needed to get in a different line. Even though it was about to be my turn and I had been waiting. But I finally realized she was yelling at me and i just changed to another line to wait some more. The cashier even looked and said its OK I can check her out..but the Manger yelled louder no she has to get in another line.. I just switched b4 the manager could make an even bigger scene but there was no reason to switch...Im always a happy person and I love to meet new people. I just can't go into this store ever again. Looks like I'm entertaining this behavior and makes them think it's acceptable behavior when in fact it is absolutely NOT acceptable behavior..so you win roses. Don't worry I'm never coming back again. I don't have to understand why. My sister told me along time ago "I was a unicorn and people don't know what to do when they see one because they've never seen a unicorn b4...so they freak out but once they know you..they'll love you sister"."

"Me and my bf was in there around 630 today and once we got to the registers ready to checkout there was only one register open. The cashiers name was Hannah, she was ringing out customers while apologizing for the wait because the other cashier was on break. Hannah had atleast 10 people in her line and she was getting them out as fast as she could. She called for a manager for pennies. The manager didn't offer to help her with the customers or even acknowledge the customers. He came got her $1 and walked off. Bad management"

"Went to local Roses store to purchase thermals for friends daughter and when cashier rang up my purchase the thermals rang up for .50 and then cashier changed the price to 5.99... When questioned about it they claim that the barcode in the back isn't theirs and that's the one that rang up .50.. If they are not gonna use the barcode on the back the it should have been marked out. Mgr and both cashier's had a very bad attitude. So just be warned watch when they ring up your purchases."

"I'm 44 years old, and have never known a smooth ride through the entire shopping center's parking lot...until a couple of months ago. That parking lot kept a great deal of money from many businesses there over the years. Roses included. So awesome, being more accessible! I love purposes store! It is a gem!"
