"I had $1800 worth of work done to my car in March of this year. I thought Mr. Ronnie and his staff were trustworthy due to having worked on my truck with any problems. Well, last week my gears stopped shifting in my car and I was stuck in the middle of the road. I called Holmes Tire & Auto and they had it picked up within the next hour. After not hearing from them for two days, I took it upon myself to call and ask what was the issue. I was told by Mr. Ronnie that my clutch master cylinder had gone bad and needed to be replaced. Me being female, didn't care what it was; and I just wanted my car fixed. He told me it was gonna cost me $393 for parts, labor, and the tow. I was pissed because I'm a single mother of five and just couldn't afford to pay that much right now. I called around and found someone to do it for $200+ less. I let Mr. Ronnie know what was going on and that I'd pay for the tow, but would be letting someone else do the work. He was fine with it and I was relieved. Over the weekend I spoke to a family friend about the situation who advised me that with them replacing my clutch in March, the master cylinder was included. I file all receipts on big purchases I make and had no trouble finding the ones from Holmes Tire & Auto. Well, I did have it replaced and had a 12 month / 12,000 mile warranty on it! Not once did Mr. Ronnie mention this to me. I was very upset because I trusted him and his ethics. I presented my receipt to him and he was nonchalant about it. He said they'll go ahead and fix it, but I have to pay for the tow! I will never use them again. People keep your receipts because they will try to get over on you!!!!!!"
