"We had been to Mathis auto a few times for easy stuff like an alignment and brakes. Today I have discovered we will never be going back. My car has been burning through ignition coils and spark plugs. It had gone through 3 sets in three months. The last set only lasted a few weeks. When I called telling them my car was being towed in, the gentleman on the phone acted like he was annoyed that I was doing that. This is after I had called two days previous and they told me to bring it that day. After they looked at it, they told me I needed new spark plugs and coils. Both my husband and I asked why it would be burning through them so quickly. There had to be something else wrong. They blamed it on my husband and said it was bad parts. Soooo apparently three times bad?! Then they said we put in the wrong spark plugs even though those are the ones specifically listed for toyota. I should also add that my husband and I rebuilt a Monaco and still work on his Fury. We kind of know what we are doing. I’m not sure if Mathis is just unable to diagnose problems because they don’t have the ability or if they are just completely unwilling. Perhaps they refuse to buy the electronics they need to diagnose newish cars and read the computer. All I know is that we were basically blown off. It seems like they don’t have the ability to actually diagnose problems. They seem to just replace parts in hopes of it being the actual issue. Will not ever be returning here. Additionally, if you read other reviews on here. Many people had similar issues."

"Recently did brake work here and it was done well at a fair price. Brought the same vehicle back for a diagnostic on an engine warning light. They did some digging and treated us very fairly. Honest people."

"They are OK on the price, however they cause other issues and refuse to own up to it. I had a brake job done with them for all 4 wheels and their guy busted my speed sensor. Taking the car back, they said they couldn't diagnose. Anyone with a little auto knowledge could tell when the power steering light and traction control lights come on at the same time it's the speed sensor. But they decided to play ignorant."
