"Emmas has really struggled since the first day. The wait staff is a great bunch of untrained young ladies. When you first walk in, there is no hostess ? Then finally, a lady comes over, and obviously the manager, and gives a 5 minute speech about how the kitchen is running about 25 minutes from order to table. Basically, she told the 15 customers with different parties that they may want to try somewhere else. So here I am, still waiting, 1 hour and 15 minutes, and still nothing. Our waitress is great, and very apologetic. Now let's move on to the next point. There are 11 people waiting at the door now, with no greeting or direction, and I'm counting 11 empty tables. Staff literally bumping into each other...with no clue. The little lady that is the hostess or whatever has disappeared for another 15 minutes...This place really needs to step it up. 5 more minutes, and I'm walking. Food is great, but not worth an hour plus wait for a biscuit and gravy and egg. Update...waited another 20, and finally walked out. 1.35 hours...for nothing."

"Absolutely delicious breakfast! We came about 20 minutes before they closed and didn’t expect to get a table. We were seated immediately! Our family ordered the french toast, the biscuits and gravy breakfast, the cinnamon roll, and a 3 egg breakfast. It was so delicious!! You could tell everything was made from scratch! It reminded me of my great grandmother’s cooking! We can’t wait to visit again!!"

"I had two eggs with grits, apple juice, and water. Server was pleasant, but didn't introduce herself. They had far too many servers on the floor; some were standing around and the rest were bumping into each other. It was a medium sized crowd. My breakfast took a little longer for the simplicity of the order. The grits and eggs were lukewarm. I could tell that had the grits been hot, they would've been creamy and delicious. The scrambled eggs were tasty, but not warm. The cheese was great. The platter was too large, and the bitter knife would not stay on the side of the plate. I tipped well, because the server did a fine job - with the exception she didn't check back after a couple bites. (I'm an excellent tipper by nature). I will give it another chance and try the eggs benedict or pancakes. The price was reasonable and fair."

"We understand new businesses need time to work out the kinks however, we arrived at 9:30 and at 11 still hadn’t received our food. The server came by to ask if we were ready for our ticket. We had not received anything including silverware. It took 5 more trips for the kitchen to sort of where our meals were and we still did not receive all of it. What we did get was cold and she promptly brought our ticket with the meal and stood waiting for the card so she could cash us out. This was our second visit since opening and we are let down by it completely."
