"Stopped on my long drive back to Charleston, sc. Home cooked food, disappointed about not having white gravy but the brown gravy was amazing. Home town feel! Great place!"
"This place is for the locals. When we arrived, we didn't realize it was cafeteria style as there was no one on the food line. I specifically went to try out the baked chicken, which was even advertised on their daily menu board outside, I was told that they didn't have any. We were then informed that fryers were broken. I don't think fryers have anything to do with baked chicken, but I could be wrong. I had to settle for a vegetable plate, which included creamed corn, green beans, and turnip greens. All-in-all the food was decent, for a decent price."

"Great southern comfort food! I had a vegetable plate with collards, green beans, dressing, and cornbread - DELICUOUS! My friends both chose the country fried steak and gravy, fried squash, collard greens, and cornbread. The cornbread is sugar-free, moist, and crispy! We didn't try them, but these items caught our eye - big ole fried chicken, baked chicken, cobbler, and banana pudding. Nice southern diner with casual atmosphere, friendly service, reasonable prices, great food!"
"Only been twice but excellent both times I've went! Wish they were open in the evenings I'd probably eat there at least once a week. Great food at a good price. That's hard to find now! Today I had the country fried steak and it was so good and tender and the buttermilk pie was amazing also. Highly recommend if you're in the area at lunchtime."
