VCA Webb Animal Hospital

"This is the NO compassion Animal Hospital. Our baby, Millie, was having stomach spasms and we wanted her to be checked out to make sure it was not serious. We were loyal customers of Webb’s 20 years ago, when we lived in Pooler. This morning, I checked their website to make sure they were open on Saturdays and accepted walk-ins, the website answered yes to both of these. Seeing they opened at 8am, we drove 57 mins and arrived at 8:17am. When we arrived, there was no one in the waiting area. The receptionist immediately informed us they did not accept walk-ins, despite their website stating differently. The receptionist said they were booked for the day and they could not see her. However, she asked the vet anyways and the vet reiterated they were too busy to see her, never mind the empty waiting room. They made it blatantly obvious that they were NOT at all concerned with the well being of my Millie. They suggested we go to South Carolina to get her looked at. However, the most frustrating part of our interaction was that in the time it took them to decide whether or not they were able to examine her, the vet could have easily determined if her symptoms were serious or not. If you love your pet like we do, I highly suggest not using this hospital. I am extremely upset with the obvious lack of compassion for our beloved pet."

"All you are at this Vet is a transaction and a way for them to make money off of you. They aren’t there when you really need them or have an actual emergency…even if you have an appointment. They say they take “walk ins”, but a walk in has to be a scheduled appointment. Beware if you schedule through their app, that doesn’t matter. I’ve been a loyal client to them for years. No wonder they have such high turnover with staff. Update- funny they say to email. I actually emailed them the same day I had an issue and still haven’t heard back. Again, they do not care. Just goes to show they are only responding to these reviews to try to help with their image. They don’t even respond when you actually do what they ask. What a joke."

"Took my girl in to be spayed. At the same time they were going to take care of a hematoma. Spay was great. No problems there. The hematoma- no so much. Botch job. Had to come back and they had to redo. Not sure who did what- but the second surgery was night and day compared to the first. I’d go elsewhere."

"There are just so many great things to say about Webb Animal Hospital. Let me start with the care my dog has received. My 6 year old boy became quite ill. I took him to Webb's where he has gone since he was a puppy. The doctor's there immediately ran tests, did x-rays, biopsies, etc. They did not stop until we had the answers and solutions we needed to get my boy better. I am forever grateful. As great as his actual medical care has been, that is not even what keeps us going back to Webb's. As his mother, I know my Duke is kind of an A**. He's not the friendly, cuddly dog that comes in that everyone wants to love on. Despite his stressed out, grouchy demeanor, EVERY SINGLE staff member there talks to him and treats him like he's the best boy. Every interaction I have when I'm in there, the staff makes me feel as though he is loved and like they have a special relationship with him. As his mama, that's important to me. We just wanted to say thank you for all you do at Webb's."
