"This vet is so rude. I have went for years here. Never even seen the inside. She obviously does not care about the animals. She would give me drugs to give to trim nails that didn't even work because she said my cat was a danger to society. Your a vet yet can't even deal with a common house cat. I needed rabbie shot nail trimming and flea drops each visit. She couldn't even do this. Don't answer phones. Doesn't allow people inside. She should be aware people think she is strange. They whole experience is strange recommend to go else where if you love you your furbabies."

"Dr. Steele and her staff have always treated my pets and myself with kindness and compassion. She isn’t afraid to refer to and or with specialists to diagnose uncommon issues. She listens when I describe behaviors that I encounter with my pets and helps me understand underlying reasons. She or her staff always call to check on my pets after appts. Her prices I have found to be very reasonable. We will gladly continue using her services."

"I've been taking my pets to Tugaloo Animal Hospital for ove 15 years. Dr. Steele is one of the most wonderful and caring people I know. To some folks she may sound bossy but I guarantee it's because she has such a huge heart for the patients she cares for. I recently rescued a beautiful pup that had been dumped out on the road. She was beautiful, loved my dogs and my cat from the start. Had her first puppy exam and she was happy and healthy. A couple of days later she was not eating and getting weak from what looked like Parvo. Dr. Steele took my call at 11:30 pm and told me what to do. I took her in the next day. She continued to get worse, was on IVs and in pain. Dr. Steele was with her late at night, even on the days the office was closed. She kept me posted all the time and let me come spend time with this little puppy that someone had thrown out and I had come to love. Dr. Steele had been at the office for 12 hours caring for the pets staying there including my little abandoned pup when she called to let me know it was time. She waited and I was there in 5 minutes to say goodbye. Dr. Steele did everything possible to save little Pearl. She's even come out to my home after hours to help my older dog Lucky let go because it was too painful for him to have to come there. Dr. Steele does these things because she has a heart for her patients. A heart that breaks along with ours when we have to say goodbye. I truly admire and appreciate Dr. April Steele. She may be short and a little bossy, but she is an excellent vet with a heart of gold."
