The Tin Fin Restaurant

"My boyfriend and I were very excited to come try the Tin Fin and enjoy a Sunday brunch after seeing the menu and good overall rating. Unfortunately, our disappointing experience was enough to make us never want to go back. The food had potential, but it was quite bland. What made the experience even worse was the service. I shouldn’t have to wait for refills on drinks. Having an empty glass for an extended period of time is unacceptable. Especially considering the beverage was a Buy One Get One special, yet we still got charged for the “free” drinks. I had to point out the price to get that fixed. Our used plates were never cleared and were left sitting at the table the entire time. As a former server and restaurant manager, my expectations of service are always high but understanding. However, this experience was one for the books on the worst list. We were asked how the food looked and tasted right as the plates were getting set on the table. I couldn’t even get a taste before being asked. Had they asked us after our first bite, and had they of bothered coming back to the table to ask if we needed anything, they would have known that we were very unhappy with the taste of our meal. I asked for no tomatoes, which is a very simple request, but they somehow got even that wrong. By the time they came back it was to give us the check, and I was just ready to leave. The oysters were not what we expected and we had to do all the work ourselves which isn’t necessarily advertised. I wanted to enjoy my meal but genuinely didn’t. The food was bland. Service was slow.. If I could have returned the meal, I would have and I wish we could get our money back for some items we were not satisfied with. I would have asked for a refund if they would have given us the courtesy to check on us! They weren’t so busy to be moving as slow as they were. I witnessed other tables get more attentive service than ours. I don’t think we will be going back. I’m extremely disappointed with this place. There’s just no excuse for this."

"I had to give our visit 2stars. …My husband and I had the surf and turf. My daughter had chicken fingers. My daughter said her food was great and she was to come again. My husband and I food seemed to be good going down. I fell sick 5-6 hours later with food poisoning. It was the worst feeling I’ve ever felt. Never in my life had this happen to me. As for my husband he had some stomach issues but he was able to deal with it. As a business serving the public. We must teach our employees to be cautious when serving food. Making sure they temp food and definitely washing their hands. I’m not sure what happened in that kitchen but I wasn’t a happy camper after this. Of course this was my first visit and my last. Just can’t trust"

"Husband and I were craving seafood! We both had the seafood alfredo and it was THE BEST Alfredo sauce I have ever had! Quiet and nicely decorated for the Holidays. Definitely want to go back."

"I had the Tin Fin duo with fried fish and shrimp. Food came out fast and hot. It tasted fantastic. I will be back if I'm ever in Savanah again."

"Absolutely amazing experience here! My family of 4 plus my sister and brother in law came around 2 on a Tuesday for endless crab legs and shrimp. They have multiple flavors of shrimp and tons of side dishes to choose from, all included in this meal. Everything was perfect!! So good we were trying to justify driving the 9 hours from home to come back just for the food! Be prepared to spend a couple of hundred bucks if you get this meal but trust me it's worth it. The service was excellent, the aesthetic was good with a casual, beachy, trendy vibe. Food came out quickly and there wasn't a wait for anything. Next time we're in the area we will for sure be back for more."
