"Dr. Anderson’s team are true heroes. After waking up with a sore tooth that quickly progressed to the most severe tooth pain I’ve ever experienced, I called Kaye at Dr. Anderson’s to ask for an urgent appointment. Kaye was able to get me in almost immediately. The pain started on Sunday, but by Wednesday it had progressed to severe and disabling. Dr. Anderson had me in by Wednesday afternoon. By Thursday he had me in with an Endodontist to confirm his suspicions of a cracked root, and then saw me immediately afterwards to do an impression in order to build me a temporary “flipper,” a fake tooth retainer to help cover the gaping hole in my smile that was going to be left after the tooth was to be extracted, the only solution to relieve the severe discomfort. I was terrified of doing the impression/molding because my tooth and mouth were so tender by that point. Michelle was my Dental Assistant that afternoon and conveyed to Dr. Anderson my fear of doing the impression. Dr. Anderson so compassionately numbed my tooth and areas of pain so that Michelle could do the impression. During the impression it was rough. Michelle literally wrapped her arms around me and held me, comforting me the whole way through until it was done. I could not have done that without Dr. Anderson’s local anesthesia and Michelle’s skill, compassion and expertise.She was my guardian angel that day, I’m 100% certain. All of this happened within hours of calling Kaye to tell her of my unfortunate situation. Within days Dr. Anderson had gotten me in with Dr. Faircloth at Aiken Augusta Oral and Facial Surgery to have the problem tooth extracted. That was Tuesday. By Thursday i was back in to see Dr. Anderson to have my newly constructed temporary tooth in my possession to give it a try, see how it fit. Again, Michelle was there to ease my nerves and continue to be the cheerleader I needed to get through this. I have dental anxiety as it is, and this entire experience was as smooth as it could be. As much pain as I was in, I was fantasizing about how I could use any hard object to just knock the painful tooth out myself, and Dr. Anderson, Michelle, Kaye and the entire team all worked together to get me in quickly, and to start providing solutions and options to move the process along as quickly as possible. We are so lucky to have Dr. Anderson, Michelle Rose, Kaye and everyone on the team. I’m so grateful for their care and the compassion they showed me when I was having a terrible day with a tooth that felt like it was about to explode in my mouth at any moment. They got it done, and did it with grace, skill, compassion and serious speed. I’m so grateful for you all and the love, care and support you showed me during this stressful and honestly a little bit scary experience. They even got my temporary replacement in, which I’ll have until the implant is put into place, months from now, and did it in less than 36 hours. I’m just so impressed and we are so lucky to have you all. Thank you so much. There are no words to express my gratitude, but this is as close as I could get to expressing my appreciation for you all. Thank you."
