"Completely disappointed! I scheduled a tour for me and my students over 3 weeks ago. When we arrived for the tour they said they had us scheduled for the next week. I explained we make our schedules a month in advance, and that was an error because we have something already scheduled the next week. The staff called the director to see what could be done since it is clearly a mistake. She said we were not scheduled for today, and they could not accommodate us. Even though there was no other guest at the facility. The director, Billie Stultz did not try to accommodate us. The only option given was to reschedule. This was clearly a mistake on the person that took our reservation; who conveniently was not there. We only had 4 adults and 14 special education students, but they could not accommodate us. A good director would have tried to accommodate us; specifically when we were the only ones at the museum at the time. This facility schedule tours every 30 minutes to every hour, but they could not accommodate us. I believe that the director just didn’t want to accommodate us. Even if she had to lead us on a 30 minute tour, would have been better than just saying they could not accommodate us. This was truly unfortunate because me and my colleagues have been to the museum before, and I know that this tour would have been a great learning experience for our students. They were completely disappointed, and I certainly hope no other students will have to share the same experience as we did."

"This is a must visit for lovers of African art. I thoroughly enjoyed the visit and was very impressed with the knowledge of our docent, Mr Ari. He took the time to explain the art to the group, and he answered questions in a confident manner. The museum has so many pieces, one could spend hours viewing the artwork, which is located on both floors of the museum . Mr. Ari is wonderful and certainly a remarkable asset to the museum. Great job!!!. I would certainly visit again to see if any new pieces of art arrived since my previous visit. I also received a nice tote bag as an appreciation for my donation. Love this museum. By the way, I learned of the museum via the internet and decided to visit during my stay in Savannah on a pleasure trip."

"Amazing historical artifacts!! Definitely a great place to visit, especially if you're a local. We have so many hidden gems in this great city of ours. The tours are free, but please consider making a donation. No matter how small, it all helps."

"I'm thrilled and amazed such a collection exists in Savannah. It's definitely worth a visit for all age groups. So much history, religion and culture! The museum is respectful of the artifacts and the experience was fun & educational. Thank you Billie for the tour, I'm excited to see this community gem thrive!"
