The Delmar

"My husband and I lived in the Delmar for 3 years, and we experience little to no issues. The Delmar is close to a lot of great food, gym (performance lab), and train stations.Front desk staff are amazing and ensures all ticket requests are taken care of. Shout out to Elvis, Jeroni, and Michael for always being amazing. And Gio for fixing small things in our apartment. Unfortunately, we had to relocate back to CA, and the transition wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. We got our deposit back without any issues. I def recommend living here if you are in search of a new place to live."

"I loved at the Delmar for 1 year. I never had any issues really. But after move out, they deducted $1200 for “floor damages” even though during the final walk through the apartment was noted to have no damage. Also, they then claimed I owed $600 even though rent was always paid on time and I moved out well before my lease ended. So these people will try to scam you so you should go live somewhere else"

"EDIT: I'm changing my review not because of the building or its immediate staff but due to the abysmal management. Unfortunately, Esther and Frances ended up being completely incompetent - especially Esther who "helped" us with our lease termination. We broke our lease and transferred it to another couple which is easy enough, but the management neglected to tell us they took our termination fee out of our rent credit rather than bill us directly before we even moved out and without our authorization, and then tried to blame it on a mistake by their "secretary" & pin it on the new tenants a month and a half after we left. Why would your secretary be keeping the books for a multi-million dollar management company? Don't you have accountants for that? Clearly not. We have no issue paying what's owed and obviously wanted to keep our promise, but they misled us and the new tenants about the numbers multiple times, even though Esther was informed about the situation by all parties involved months beforehand. They also withheld info about our preferential rent credits, saying "they couldn't find the credit" and then when we dug further, it suddenly appeared out of nowhere! Clearly just pure laziness and incompetence that ended up costing everyone money and stress. Oh - and she doesn't even have a phone number to reach her at. How convenient! Such a shame, the building and staff are so nice. Just be prepared to burn money upon move out, you can always count on Esther and Frances to completely waste your time and money! "Loved my experience at The Delmar. Management has asked me to write a review upon departure, and would not want to skip it. The building units are spacious, clean, with big windows and high ceilings. The amenities are all great and always well maintained. More than anything, I absolutely loved the staff at The Delmar: the doormen/women, the amazing cleaning staff, and our super. They took my experience here to a different level. Amazing people. Loved my neighbors as well. Close to the subway (many lines) and easy access to the city. Highly recommend."

"I lived at The Delmar for 2 years and am only moving out due to a new role in a different city. This building is great and I couldn't recommend it more to someone considering moving in. All of the amenities are great and the building very very well maintained and always exceptionally clean. The doormen (especially Jeroni, Elvis and Michael) are all incredible and willing to help you literally any time. Overall a really great place to spend my time in NYC."
