"Cons: Very Old buildings. Paper-thin walls, creaky floors, chipping paint, drafty windows. Constant water & heat issues causing long shut-offs during the day. Hallways smell of weed. Office could care less about concerns, & owners’ only goal is to be as cheap as possible w/ labor to fix the place, and to raise rents as quickly as possible w/ NO extensive unit upgrades. It’s sad to see such a beautiful property go downhill so quickly. It’s far from being a “premier” place to live. Pros: Relatively safe. Beautiful scenery, recycling available. Heat is included, & numbered parking spots *for now*"

"We absolutely loved our experience with Mountain view Garden Apartments. From the beginning Lisa was super helpful. She went out of her way to answer our questions. Lisa made us feel welcomed. Thereafter, from the screening process to using the App, everything was easy. We signed the lease, uploaded the documents required and made the necessary payments on the APP. It was easy as 1, 2, 3. Highly recommend Mountainview Garden Apartments."

"We lived at Mountainview Garden Apartments for 12 years. The office staff was wonderful. We Loved our apartment, the beautiful grounds, and were blessed with amazing neighbors who remain our friends to this day. We are currently on the waiting list, and are excited about returning. For us.....this is home!"

"Just moved into the apartment complex and it's absolutely gorgeous, rent is reasonable ,close to everything, proper care of snow removal and garbage[UPDATE: I will reiterate, mountain is a very beautiful place to live but if you don't want a large yellow snow fine sticker on your driver side window and when you call the office only to find out they know 'nothing about it', I would advise you not live here] I will not be renewing my lease here; and the absolute best neighborhood BUT if you live under someone you WILL hear them and their dogs, some of the staff is sweet but there's one in particular who is just a nasty crabby lady, one rotten apple will ruin the bunch. Other than those things Mountain View is a wonderful place to live."

"Mountainview is the best complex within the area. You are literally a minute away from 1-84, 10 minutes from the Taconic, 20 minutes to the thruway / I-87, and the people who now work here are genuinely good people. Although it may seem frustrating at first, the snow removal system they have here is by far the best and safest I've experienced. They do expect you to shovel yourself out of you parking space (but they do offer to help disabled or the elderly), but they plow the drive so you may exit the lot and then clear everything, and then salt it so that it is safe -- usually as soon as it stops snowing. I am definitely glad I do not have to clean out they rest of my parking space (which at other places would turn to dangerous ice) as well. When moving out, make sure you thoroughly clean! They were nice enough to give a friend who also lived here a checklist of exactly what they look for to make it super easy, and to avoid not getting her security deposit back. Lastly, while past employees may have been less than ideal, the changes in the past year have made this complex a more efficient and humble place to live. I'd highly recommend this over any of the other complexes within the surrounding neighborhoods. And that's before even considering the price difference!"
