"I called Mary in the office at 9:00 in the morning because my sister who is a senior citizen did not have any heat. She had got an estimate from another company to fix the furnace which I thought was very high. I called MJS and Mary was fantastic after I explained to her what was going on and the parts that the other company said needed to be changed she said she would call me back in a few minutes. She called back not 10 minutes later and said that they could fix the problem at a significant lower cost but that they would have to send a tech out to confirm the problem. Within 2 1/2 hours they had the tech Avi there and he is going back in a few hours to fix. I cannot say enough about the professionalism and help that was given to my sister when she desperately needed it. . Would highly recommend this company as I know we will absolutely use them again."

"I had a clogged drain. They tried everything to get it unclogged. It was late in the day. They came back the next morning and got the drain unclogged. I was super satisfied with how it all turned out. I was also surprised what it cost. I thought it would have been more for all the work they did."

"They are nice people to talk with. I got an appointment the same day and they fixed the problem. Except they're very expensive. The cartridge that controls the water flow in the shower, behind the knob that turns it on/off, was frozen (too old). They fixed it by replacing that cartridge. This was a 10 minute job. Nothing too complicated, no special tools. I had already disassembled the knob, and cover to expose the cartridge. All it was left to take the old cartridge out and pop a new one in. On a different day, with more time, I would have run to HD in Fishkill and gotten a cartridge or a whole brand new unit. Anyway, MJS charged me $450, which I thought it was way too much--exorbitant I'd say. Mind you the cartridge comes with the whole set up--the faucet, shower head, knob, new hardware, etc. They only changed the cartridge and not the rest, plus they didn't leave the rest of the new items with me. The whole set up is about $120 at a big box store, the cartridge only a fraction of that price. I understand anyone can value their services in any way they want, but I was in a bind with the water switched off for the entire house, I agreed to this. Next time though I'd try somebody else. I'm a Beacon resident and I like to support local business. I should have already had gotten advice from neighbors for a local plumber just in case. Now I know better (at a great cost). PS> ..as to the reply from "owner" below... I said, I agreed to the price they quoted me. I was in a bind. I wrote it in my review of the service I got from MJS (10/26/23). I'm entitled to my view that their service charge was exorbitant for the reasons I stated."
