"I've been living in this wonderful place for the past five months, and I must say, the property manager Alejandra has been impressively prompt in her responses. Her quick and efficient communication has significantly contributed to my positive experience here."

"I wanted to take time out of my day to especially share my own experience with the office staff at Brighton Colony & also the property manager Jan. Alejandra is the one that oversees Brighton Colony but also helps here and there at Elmwood property as well. She is such an amazing friendly yet professional staff that always greets you with a smile on her face and always and I mean always happy to listen to you and takes time to ensure your concerns are addressed. I can’t say enough about her. Jan the property manager, I personally do not get to see her often but obviously her employees are a pure reflection of her work ethics which I truly appreciate and respect. I have been living here since 2018, and although my goal is to buy a house, yet I find myself renewing my yearly lease because of how much I enjoy living here. I hope this helps whomever is seeking a new home to learn first hand from one of their residents on how wonderful everyone is."

"At our 1st renewal, rent appeared to go up by about $30/month. We grumbled but agreed it wasn’t worth the effort of moving. In reality our rent went up by nearly $200… mostly in junk fees not mentioned on the lease renewal. Not sure this is legal. As far as living here goes… I came home to a waterfall on my kitchen counter and an electrical fire due to issues I’ve reported for the entire time I lived here. The parking lot is noisy, people blast music from their cars in the middle of the night. I expected so much more, but this is pretty much the trailer park of Brighton."

"The leasing agents are highly unprofessional and inconsiderate. I scheduled a tour two weeks in advance and received my confirmation the day prior to my tour. I drove 35 minutes to view this tour and the agent was no where to be found. They did not respond to texts / calls. I waited in the parking lot for up to an hour and no one arrived. I still have not had any type of follow up which is really upsetting. Don’t waste your time and look elsewhere!"

"I moved here August 2018 from NYC. It was nice the first couple of years, but since that time the property has been neglected and has not been well manicured. Some walkways are newly paved while others are not. The fencing and homes are in need of repainting. Some homes have gates, others do not. Some have working lights by the house numbers, others do not. Any day now, my foot will go through my porch as it is caving in. Maintenance is responsive but they can only do but so much. Today, they fixed an electrical issue in my bedroom for the 4th time. No sooner than they left, a landscaping team entered my porch with a weedwacker and chopped down my plants. I was yelling at the guy to stop but he had his back to me. Finally someone got his attention and I asked him to leave. They left a mess. They also have been putting rocks everywhere and it is an eyesore...and a lot of it has been unfinished for weeks. Someone in a buggy made a u-turn by my unit and gouged out the grass...leaving behind a muddied mess for weeks. They chopped down trees along a beautiful walkway...I was told that the area was too dark. I can't understand why they couldn't remove a few of the trees and prune the rest. They planted something that looks like dead twigs to replace them. They repaved the tennis court, but it is also unfinished. They put in basketball hoops on each end, but the court is not long enough for this. They finally removed that and added a running track...unfinished mess. I've never been to the pool because I don't trust that it has been maintained. To add insult to injury, I moved here with two cats. I have been happily paying the $30/pet fee without a problem. My elderly cat died Feb 24, 2021. When I finally went to the office to tell them, I was told that I had to provide proof that my cat was dead in order to have the fee removed. I mean really...why would I suddenly decide not to pay the pet fee and lie, stating that my cat died. To make matters worse, my younger cat developed an incurable cancer and died June 19, 2021...this time I gave them the letter. I was just so insulted by that interaction. The rent here is inexpensive compared to other places and quiet for the most part; also convenient to everywhere. However, knowing what I know now I would have never moved here. It was recommended by a friend who lived here years ago, and she is also shocked when she comes to visit. I never have guests over because it looks so bad on the outside!"
