"Best Apartments for Soldiers of Fort Drum ! Been living here 2 years my wife and I love it, Karen and Susian are very well mannered and professional property managers always making it pleasant when I see them. These apartments are perfect for soldiers who want to be close to fort Drum but far enough not to always feel like Thier in the military only 15 minutes away from gas lane Alley gate so you will be on time to make it to PT no problem every morning. The parking lot is always ploud during the snowy season and the seenary from the back patio of every apartment is beautiful perfect for waking up in the morning and reading a book like I do. All and all 10 out of 10 place to stay !!"

"If I could give this apartment complex 0 starts I would. The management team are scammers and con artists. The Property Manager “Susan” lives 3 hours away and very much so neglects the property. They DO NOT put salt down in the winter, only when they know it will melt and serve no purpose. It is unsafe to walk to and from buildings. I also, have open maintenance request from 30 days ago. Nothing has been done. (Electrical issues) (Hot water) and etc. They show up at my door un announced without 24 hours notice or even a phone call of the day and time they would be coming. Very unprofessional. They are VERY money hungry asking people to come tour their apartments when they won’t take care of the tenants that are already occupying an apartment. They harass us and mock us. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE. The owner has STILL NOT reached out to me regarding an email I sent 2 days ago, via serious legal issues. Stay clear of Whispering Woods if you want a peaceful life. Attached below are pictures of the day we moved in & the condition of the apartment. The snow pictures are from sidewalks they refuse to shovel or salt."

"My husband, baby, and I lived in Whispering Woods Apartment Complex for 2.5 years. The first year we were there was nothing exceptional, but it wasn't horrible. We had a couple instances where critters came into our apartment through a hole in the kitchen. It took about 6 months for them to finally close that hole, but that wasn't a big deal to us. MY big complaint during the first years was that the Apartment Manager changed and the replacement was not even close to as good as the previous one. Chris was the only shining light. The real issues started during our second Winter. After the first snow we started seeing GERMAN COCKROACHES. We were able to keep them at bay and even fight them off for a while, but they came back with a force, mind you I keep a CLEAN house. I was not the reason for the cockroaches. We eventually had enough and told the management and Orkin came out. The cockroaches were gone for about a month, but due to the fact that the apartment was put together in a very cheap manner the cockroaches came back. We had giant cracks under our entry door. I could see people walking outside our apartment through that giant crack. The next problem was with the heater in our home. The winter before I did have an issue, but it was solved quickly and nicely. Chris was really on top of things. But I had a similar issues the next year with the heater. I would turn on the heat and next to no heat would come out. The newer management sent out someone to fix it. To which he seemingly did. A couple days later I noticed scorch Mark's about the thermostat controls. I turned off the heat and told the manager. This time they actually sent out an actually heating and air conditioning company. To which I was told that the guy a couple days before had done the wiring wrong and we were damn lucky a fire didn't happen. In the spring we got new management again. This time the management was a real estate agency (Bennett Reality Group) which was a Watertown Reality. At first we were told that they would have someone out to the office at the apartment ever Friday and we would be able to make appointments total to the woman there. In this time my phone number was lost and they didn't have the number anymore. They only contacted my husband with updates. To which I messaged them 6 or 7 times asking to be added to the notification text messages. To which my messages were completley ignored. In fact until we left they ignored every message I sent after their first week taking over. They also ignored every text message from my husband for the last 3 months of us living there. They also sent out a mass text message to everyone offering 20 dollars off the next months rent to give a 5 start google review. But from the time the realtor took over they have been unprofessional and the worst managers yet. The apartment used to be cleaned once a week. Now it gets cleaned less often and the halls are nasty and grimy. The apartment itself wasn't the worst I've seen, especially seeing how little you pay for rent. But when we moved in there were crack in and in between the tile. The carpet was extremely cheap and the tacks between doorways would hurt your feet. Honestly. I would never live there again. Especially with this new reality at the helm."

"I would give this complex a negitive score if i could. I 110% would NOT recommend living here to anyone! There are cockroaches in the apartment complex from previous dirty tenants that the property claims they"have never had this problem before!" Yet, Orkin mentioned this has been happening here for years. The property management changed half way through the lease term from having someone always on the complex site, to Bennett Real Estate agency which is 30 minutes away now running the show. The new property manager is rude and is never on the apartment complex grounds unless its for a new showing. She is impossible to get a hold of for maintenance requests as she ignores phone calls on all of the listed contact numbers (even the "emergency number"), and multiple texts. The apartments are old, rundown and building always smell like cat urine and there is dog poop everywhere because nobody cleans up after themselves. The washers are always broken and things they say are being "fixed" during the apartment showing will never be fixed like the coin machine for the washers. Plowing in the winter is terrible, if the building even gets plowed. Was told everything will be plowed at 5:00 am every morning; however, it usually does not get plowed until around 10:00 which is extremely inconvenient for people who work. Also the apartment complex is running a special this month for anyone who writes a good review to get $20 off of their April 2019 rent, which goes to show the bribery that is needed to get good reviews!!! Do NOT live here!"

"My fiancé and I just recently moved in there was a few things that needed repairs from the previous tenant but the property manager worked with us and got those fixed within the first week. Our rent also was prorated until we were able to move in because of the electric taking a little bit to turn on. Overall I can say that they have been very helpful when needed. The apartment is also so tiny and cute."
