The Rome Motel

"Nice motel. I stayed here for 2 nights. The bed is very comfortable. They have bathtubs! (so many motels have boring showers.) I like taking a bath. Hot water. Fridge + microwave is very nice. Nice tv up on the wall. Modern card key to get into the rooms. Thank you."

"ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING I only put 1 star cause it doesn't give me an option to hit none. 1st- their websites and every other website says that it's $85 a night you get here and they say it's 115. From the cigarette burned bedding to the punched in bathroom door to the toxic microwave. Even the shower was gross(if u can call the water dribbling from the shower head a shower). But even when I tried to make the most of it it's just bad. It looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years and smells the same way. I didn't expect a whole lot for $15 a night but a clean towel and a working shower. I didn't even make it in the room for two whole hours. The microwave was absolutely filthy that couldn't have been cleaned in the last year. The bugs were the last straw, I thought I felt something bitting me, so i look down and(well I prayed they were fleas) and its not just 1 something biting me there were no 3 lil critters feasting!!! That was it. That was it that was the last straw!! I left my belongings and made a beeline for the parking lot!! Of course me going in and letting the door close behind me voided any chance in the heck that they were going to give me my money back! I wasn't in the room for more than 20 min! I couldn't even stand it in there long enough to get picked up, I waited out in the cold for my ride to come back!! Seriously, how could this place even be open?"

"This was the worst motel I have ever stayed at. For a $170 I expected a clean room in better shape. The carpet was dirty The shower curtain was falling down The sink had no pressure The air conditioner was not working The refrigerator was not working The curtains had a screw holding them together"

"Whatever you do, don’t stay here!! Seems like a nice cheap place to stay if you want to arrive to a blood stained bed, toilet that doesn’t flush and a sink that won’t drain. The musty smell of the room was the least of my concerns. I wouldn’t have showered without shoes on. Upon discovery of this, I immediately found a different place to stay. My 13 night stay cost me $918 (that they weren’t supposed to charge until after arrival, but charged my card hours before I arrived) and I was charged an additional $260 for “2 extra guests” who arrived with us at 3am (after a 13 hour drive but weren’t staying). I asked for a refund of my money since I wasn’t staying due to the conditions and I was refused. Expedia was no help either as the property manager refused to refund my money through them as well. These people are disgusting thieves who tried to make excuses for not refunding my money and the filth saying we “didn’t tell them about the issues”. Save your sanity and your money because for sure they will scam you out of both and play the victim!"

"I normally do not give one-star reviews, but this place was disgusting. Looks ok from the outside and good location. Room is dingy and needs a lot of paint. The carpet was damp and sticky. The air conditioner was making noise quit a few times and finally quit in the middle of the night, it was hot. Tub had brown spots and pieces peeling from it. Some came off when touching it, the tub was repulsive. I could not imagine renting anything like this for $102. One pillow case had blood stains on it, and another had brown stains. We had ridden bikes for 350 miles, it was later and we had made reservations. The guy at the desk spoke no English and could not read our name on the reservation sheet. Quite an experience, do not stay here."
