"Worst experience of my life. She has zero bedside manner and as others mentioned she will do whatever she can to “get you done”. She actually told me if I wasn’t going to try to push she was leaving and walked out of the room. The icing on this terrible cake was when I said I wasn’t comfortable with interns in the room she yelled at me and told my teacher ta a teaching hospital. I had to have an emergency c section since my daughter was actually stuck on the birth canal and another Doctor caught it. She did a terrible job and my scare is awful. Like drugs, if you can, just say no"

"Technically she is listed as the doctor who delivered my child, though I only saw her for approximately 3 minutes when she tried to use scare tactics to get me to consent to pitocin so she could get rid of me faster. Unfortunately, she was the doctor on duty when I gave birth - so her name is on all of the bills (which, by the way, have never been invoiced correctly). But my only interaction with her was 1 hour after my water broke, she came in and told me I "had" to consent to some "medicine" to "help me along" because we were on a time limit now that my water broke. I (already in a miserable mood) asked if she meant pitocin, she confirmed. I told her I would not consent to that unless there was a medical need, and asked her to confirm that the time limit she spoke of was 24 hours - of which 23 were still remaining. She told me I wasn't progressing at all and would not, so I "had" to have pitocin. I told her that since we still had 23 hours (47 in European countries, with lower mortality rates), that I would not consent until we tried other things - like removing the faulty epidural and allowing me to move about to try and get the process going again. She literally (and audibly) scoffed, and stormed out of the room. And I never saw her again. However, about an hour after the epidural was finally stopped, I was ready to push. Some nurses and interns/residents (eventually) came in and did a traumatizingly awful job - complete with unauthorized medication *after* the baby came out, and a disgustingly misogynistic "husband stitch" - which, for the record, is awful for everyone involved. I would not want this awful treatment by Dr Fretwell even for my enemies - any woman, aside from perhaps Dr. Fretwell herself, deserves better than this."
