"The doctors and nurse are good. Dr.Johnson is a very good doctor that I recommend , however my bad experience comes from the staff that works there. The staff was not helpful ,not accommodating to me and my child. They were rude and not helpful. I have been going there for 5-6years and I was turn away because I was two minutes late. You should never turn a patient’s around and tell them oh well you’re late nothing I can do.I felt like all they cared about was their policy’s instead of having empathy for the person . Sometimes something’s are bigger than policy , treat people with compassion and dignity. I will no longer go there . I felt like they didn’t treat a customer with respect."

"I have been with healthy pediatrics for about 5 years. I have to say within the past year the environment has completely changed. It is not the same patient centered care that we had when we first started. I Moved Suffolk about 2 years ago and because Dr. Johnson was so amazing we continued coming to the office. However today will be our last day. As a healthcare provider myself we have always tried to do right by our patients. Today this office proved otherwise. My husband drove 45 mins from Suffolk to get to this appointment with my daughter and because of construction on Mineola and traffic he was 2 mins past the grace period. After speaking to multiple staff on the phone they told him its okay, only for him to arrive and they cancelled the appointment. After a few back and forths they told him that the office goes to lunch at 12 and they weren't able to accommodate. They also kept stating the policy for lateness. Not taking to account how far he travelled to be there. They were more concerned with their breaks and policies then being empathetic and understanding to a parent. In all my 12 years in healthcare We have not turned patients away, but work with them to accommodate their circumstances because we understand that things happen. I have been in the office where I had to wait over 10 mins for a doctor to arrive because they were dealing with other patients. We have been understanding because we get it. Today Staff are more concerned with policies and finances than the patients. The office manager who refused to tell me her name was useless and rude. After expressing my frustration as a parent she hung up the phone on me. She did nothing to help the situation. Brian from administration was at least trying to be helpful by looking at the schedule to see where we can we schedule for today. But after dealing with incompetent and heartless staff who are more concerned with their lunch breaks than patient care we have decided to take our children to another practice. Dr. Rubin and Dr. Johnson have been amazing , all the doctors there are great for that matter. But in order to receive the good care from the back, the customer service in the front has to change."

"Update—2023–my daughter is very anxious and dramatic about bloodwork and she unfortunately needs it frequently. During our last visit, Amanda and Rachel were so patient, gentle, and kind with her. On the way home she kept remarking how nice they were and she couldn’t believe that she hardly felt it. The best. Wonderful practice with personalized attention and care. We’ve been patients for ten years and trust the doctors entirely. Dr Saunders caught my daughter’s rare kidney condition without running a single test. Dr Rubin is knowledgeable and thoughtful and takes the time to research and help my children with all their needs. Happy and Healthy is the only medical practice we use that gives me complete confidence."

"Our children have been going to Happy & Healthy since they were born. Dr. Rubin is an absolute lifesaver; she is thorough, attentive, calm, and above all, an excellent doctor. Each clinician in her practice is professional with a great bedside manner. One of our children has a disability and is medically complex, and Dr. Rubin + team always make themselves available for questions, concerns, sick visits, and the mountain of paperwork needed for specialist and therapy referrals, as well as early intervention and equipment documentation. "We have been with Happy and Healthy from day one. We have four children who have seen all the doctors over the years and have always received the best care. Our daughter, who has Down syndrome and an extremely long medical history is loved and adored by all the doctors and staff. We have received the most incredible care. The doctors especially Dr. Rubin have always been available at all times to answer my questions and address my concerns. Just last week, I called because our daughter had a cold for over a week and I had some concerns. I left a message and Dr Rubin responded back right away and I was able to get her in to be seen. They have always listened to my concerns and helped me find the best specialists to help address some of these concerns, The day my children age out of the practice I will be so sad.
