"I’ve been coming here for almost 6 years; through 3 IUD’s and 2 pregnancies I’ve always had good care! Everyone had treated me with respect and I was always able to speak with my doctor over the phone in a timely manner."
"Posting on behalf of my younger sister. She had her first experience here today and walked out completely baffled. She shared the experience details with me and I myself feel that I would never want to set foot into this office. Not even if they were the only ones left on earth. My sister felt that her concerns were dismissed and the staff, starting with the M.A/nurse whatever she is and leading up to the visit with the N.P, Sherin Philips, were condescending. If a patient is visiting for the first time, is it not your responsibility to make an effort to make them feel welcomed, listen to their concerns out and understand them? Why not have welcoming bedside manner? She is a young girl who had a terrible experience at this office. There is absolutely no reason why a medical professional should ask a young girl “which is scarier, pregnancy or birth control?” simply to get her to decide on birth control. Scare tactics are unrealistic in this setting. The “professionals” at this office shouldn’t automatically assume that a young patient is only visiting to obtain birth control. She wasn’t visiting this office for birth control, she was visiting to be in control of her health. What a waste of a visit. Sherin Philips is unprofessional, condescending, dismissive, rude, a completely horrible woman to be handling women’s health concerns. If even one woman reads this, please I urge you - DO NOT COME HERE. There are plenty of other professionals better equipped to handle your health with better care."
"Made a new appointment and literally waited an hour to be told they couldn’t see me because I hadn’t signed a medical release at my previous provider and they wouldn’t see me without medical records. Doctor who saw me wouldn’t even come in the room and typed on a computer without looking at me once. She acted like my medical issue was a total inconvenience and interrupted me 3 times."
"I have been a patient of women contemporary for over 10 years, I go for only my annual check up at this site as well as mammogram and sonogram. Every year I am billed by them as out of network. Not sure if the lack of training or lack of information with the training of the billing dept. I have to call my insurance several time and the billing dept for over several months before it gets done properly. The doctors are great but not sure why this has to happen constantly until you speak with someone that can do the job properly. I would not recommend them since NYU Langone took over. Don’t go to them and don’t sign any forms they give you that’s their way of trying to get you to pay for their lack of training."
"I have called, sent messages, left voicemails. Seriously the most frustrating aspect is that one worker tells you one thing and others have different answers. No Communication among. I was TOLD my sono-images would be "posted"on my chart online . Patiently waited then to be told 3 weeks later they don't post it. To call the MY chart NYU helpdesk- I DID. I was told they're non-clinical . Thank you for leaving me with atleast 1 paper image of my Sonogram of my 1st baby. At-least the tech did me that favor ... Do YOURSELF a favor as a pt NEVER LEAVE with word by mouth promises .you'll get nothing. Get Documentation and assurance. This facility made sure they got paid faster than resolving my issues though."
