"This is a HORRIBLE dentist. I’m very surprised at all of the positive reviews. Unfortunately I had so many bad experiences that I can't even put all of them in this review. I hadn’t been to a dentist in a while so I got some X-rays done and was told I had to have 8 fillings. I have no dental insurance and had to pay for this out of pocket and Korwek knew this. I got them done because I trusted him and have no problem taking dentists advice even if I don't like it. The x-rays he read to come to that conclusion (he didn't look at my teeth) I took else later on for a second and a third opinion both places told me there is NO WAY I needed that many. They saw at most 2 or 3. No way I needed 8! I’ve had problems with my fillings and sensitivities since. This was when the pandemic slowed down and they could finally open back up. In the next room I heard him talking about his expensive boating on the st Lawrence and how he couldn’t go out as much because he has to make a lot more money. Well this guy got his money out of me lying about what I needed to have done. I've had problems with these fillings ever since and lots of sensitivities which he said was just normal. One time I asked if I could use the restroom while I waited and I was seriously told to "Yes but hurry up because you shouldn't keep him waiting". Well my appointment was scheduled 30 minutes ago and I've still been waiting for him. If he's running behind that's okay but nobody tells me to hurry up and use the bathroom. He recommended I have all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed and of course one that was impacted and causing pain. Korwek referred me to DR Schneeberger for an evaluation and Schneeberger said if the others aren’t causing me problems to just leave them but of course remove the one causing me pain. If they start to bother me have them removed but from looking at x-rays they don't look like they'll cause me problems. Next time I see Korwek he asks what Schneeberger said. I told him exactly that and Korwek says “He wouldn’t have said that. He didn’t tell you that. I've been working with him for a long time and that's not something he'd say". Having my dentist insinuate that I'm a liar felt horrible, especially right before getting another filling done and already being stressed because of his poor bedside manner previously. One of the worst visits when I was getting a filling done and because they didn’t put enough novocaine in (I didn’t know at the time I’m novocaine tolerant) I experienced sudden and extreme pain while he was drilling at a tooth. Naturally I jerked a little bit as I think anyone would and he got annoyed and said “when I’ve got these instruments in there you can’t move like that!” As if it was my choice! It was a reflex. He didn’t say I’m sorry, are you okay? Did that hurt? Do you think you need to be numbed up more? He just went to go back in and when he asked me to open back up I had to stop him and tell him what I thought was obvious, I jumped because that really hurt! After receiving a couple more shots he said “you can’t move like that again you have to stay still” in a very annoyed tone. Unfortunately I have so many more stories of bad experiences here. I hope that this reviews saves even one person from going to this place and having horrible experiences like I did. I wish I left there sooner. Needless to say I've switched dentists and I couldn't be happier! I look forward to going to my dentist now because I'm heard and cared for. My new dentist is extremely professional and thorough. They even measure the depth of your gum pockets and extensively go over how to not only correct problems but maintain your dental health because prevention is so important. Korwek wouldn't care about prevention because it's not profitable for him. I pay more out of pocket AND drive an hour to get to Dr Pominville in Lowville and it's THAT worth it."
