Brody's on the Bay

"Went here tonight with a friend for a few cocktails and either apps or dinner. It's a Saturday night at 630 and the place is dead. (Good and bad). Good for us to be seated quickly, bad because...well, it's a Saturday night and its not busy which makes me wonder what the deal is. Anyways, waitress was pretty quick to come over and take our drink order. We both ordered the "Pomegranate smash" drink. ($12). It tasted like they forgot the alcohol in it. We both decided to get the chicken quesadilla which came with sour cream and guacamole. The food came out pretty quickly. No guacamole. Told the waitress when she came back. She said she was sorry and went back to get some. Came back and said they were out. No big deal. Ordered a margarita next. Oddly enough had pretty much the same ingredients in it, except for the liquor that the "Pomegranate smash" had. The drinks were just ok, the quesadillas were pretty good but it's pretty hard to mess those up. We spend almost $100 on quesadillas and 2 mediocre drinks. Really nice atmosphere but unfortunately I don't think I will be back."

"First time here! Came to celebrate my SO's birthday. The portions were large and the food was fantastic! Our waitress recommended the Prime Rib and my eyes lit up when it came out... now I can't move. Thank you for a wonderful dinner. We will be back soon!"

"We drove from about 40 minutes away. First time there. We went on a Sunday. First of all, they didn’t have the majority of plates listed on menu. Not to mention they gave us plastic cups. That was the first in our family. We paid over $120 + for food. We ordered the fried calamari for appetizer, and it was tough and it seems like it was done the day before. I ordered a pizza and it was so burnt I couldn’t even taste it. The pizza also had lemon pieces, and was so flat it looked like someone sat on it. Didn’t eat it. My son had a pasta with shrimp and calamari and it looked as they dumped half of a canned sauce on his pasta with no flavor. Weirdly enough, it still managed to have water in it. My son didn’t eat his food either. My daughter ordered a pasta with meat balls and she initially requested it be warmed because it was cold. She also explained it to have hard pasta. She took it home only because she was starving. Only ate the meat balls. Don’t waste your money here. We left hungry and needed to stop for additional food. Next time we try the other place down the road. See the picture below of my daughters dump of sauce in her order. This place was beautiful and nicely decorated but that’s where it ends. The server tried to keep up but they are clearly understaffed. The server was nice and apologized for the mistakes. I wish they would have tried to rectify the issue but they didn’t. We didn’t eat and yet they charged us the $$$ bill. This is the time where you trust the bad reviews…save your money and do NOT come here."

"I've been here before which is why I came back with friends. We ordered soup, a pizza and what was called a steak fajita. We sat over 90 minutes waiting for this without any updates or contact from our waitress. My "steak" fajita had an ounce of shaved steak in a very large taco shell filled with lettuce. We sat another 45 minutes waiting for our check and a refill on a glass of water. What happened to this place??"

"Brody’s On The Bay is a comfortable, bay view experience with wonderful lively staff. The service was top notch. Our waiter was polite and helpful. Even with a bad knee we were able to sit outside. Now that is true service. Let’s talk about the food. The Caesar salad was tasty, the dressing was nice and the addition of bacon added good flavor. The pizza was spectacular… the brick oven showcases a crispy crust, with hot juicy toppings. The steak was cooked well although it lacked some seasoning. However I was disappointed with the chicken sandwich. When you see “buttermilk fried chicken sandwich” you think a thick piece of chicken. But the chicken seemed frozen, and cafeteria quality. I would loved to have seen hand cut fries with a nice slab of chicken. The bread it too overpowering, but the Chipotle Mayo was good. Overall I would recommend."
