"Heady Teddy’s is the best damn store of its kind in the Hudson Valley. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about all that they sell. The adult section and kids section are separated so don’t worry about brining kids in to check out the great retro toy and small folks shirt selection. In the 18 and older area there is a nice selection of sex toys, pipes, papers & such. I personally own about 20 rock & roll shirts that I bought there; not only Grateful Dead but Bowie, Hendrix, & others. Lots of great “festival gear”Also… Heady Teddy’s is very LGBTQ etc. friendly. Over all a very hip forward thinking establishment where all are welcome. I met the owner a couple of times and he is a really great guy who truly knows his business."

"This is one of the greatest shops in New Paltz. There is so much stuff inside that it's kinda unbelievable. There's a fun little incense bar where you can pick from lots of interesting scents. My favorite thing is their crystal and mineral department. There are tons of little polished stones as well as lots of unique specimens. You can spend a dollar or two, or hundreds on something very special. The owner is kind, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to support as a customer. Of course, you can buy Grateful Dead items here, smoking supplies, and some other mature items that you can't get anywhere else in town."
