"It’s an older hotel but family owned!!!! Super clean and right on the river! Very quiet! Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay here again! Close to downtown Gatlinburg!"
"Sleepy Bear is a hidden gem. It is family owned and the same office staff there for over 50 yrs. Been visiting Gatlinburg for over 40 yrs and Sleepy Bear is perfect for those who desire a quaint, non commercialized feel directly out of downtown Gatlinburg . Easy access to Gatlinburg, hiking trails in the Great Smoky mountains, and pigeon forge. The 2 floor outside entry rooms are not fancy but have clean and comfortable beds, nice shower, internet, tv with a small balcony on the creek. Totally relaxed atmosphere if that is your goal ."
"Great location near the strip where most attractions are. Rooms are retro similar to rooms in the early 90s, very clean low price and creek flows right behind property along back patios."
"This motel is very dated.The carpets were kind of gross,but over all it was very clean and comfortable. For being so close to the strip,i was surprised by how quiet it was. The balcony ,overlooking the creek,was a major highlight, for our weekend stay. The only complaints I have ,are that for the price I paid...I expected to have shampoo,conditioner and a coffee pot. I guess for the location, the price isn't bad,but for what you get ..i think its over priced. Over all ,memories were made and it was kind of nostalgic."
"It was overall a good motel room for a short stay. It was a very clean room with an amazing balcony outside your room with a creek flowing behind it. However, the air is very terrible it barley cools the room, the tv is very old and doesn’t even have cable, and the bathroom is very small. Other than those issues it was an overall nice and quiet motel and the lady who checked me in was very nice!"
