"The pictures online are deceiving. Our room smelled like old musky clothes and mold. Even a candle couldn’t take the smell away. No hot water in the tub, only the sink. After running the water in the tub to see if it would get hot there was a leak unseen that made the floor leak. When we stepped on the floor water was seeping up. We called the front desk and they said it was the dew from being by the creek. You can clearly see in the pictures this was not the case. The creek was nice but the house right across the creek was not something we came to look at. A refund was given when we checked out for the other two nights we book but not the night of hell. Not being able to get off the bed and walk around without wet feet."

"I had a great experience here during my stay last summer. The rooms were clean, quiet, and the balcony overlooked a creek. Very quiet and situated on the edge of the lot, with not much traffic nearby. Plenty of parking, no unruly guests, and the hostess was friendly during check in. Will be back next time I’m in town!"

"This hotel was absolutely disgusting. We were duped by the good reviews (probably fake) and the pictures of nice rooms overlooking a beautiful creek. We check in, get into our room and it was filthy. The odor was musky, the carpets had not been vacuumed in weeks, hair in the tub, cobwebs, dirt and dust on all surfaces, and the creek was littered with garbage and cigarette butts. We complained to the front desk requesting a refund as soon as we saw the room. The front desk guy came to look at the room and pretended he saw nothing wrong. He accused us of "turning the room upside down" after just lifting the corner of a bed sheet to check for bedbugs like we do at any hotel. We ended up leaving after paying for a room we couldn't stay in for the health and safety of our 2 year old child who has a lung disease and ourselves and ended up driving 4 hours home to South Carolina because we had wasted that amount of money on that room and our vacation was ruined. We were being as nice as we could be when we brought up our concerns but we were met with rudeness and unprofessionalism from the hotel staff. Do not waste your money on this place. There are nicer hotels for the same price."

"This kills me because we stayed here almost exactly a year ago and it was awesome. The view was great. It was quiet. It wasn’t the cleanest thing I’ve ever been in, but it was definitely clean enough and for the price it was amazing. But this year we stayed here there was clearly pee on the floor. They barely ran a vacuum. They didn’t wipe down any of the surfaces there was dust and debris in the drawers. There are spots on the bathtub and the bathroom floor, and when we can play they were extremely rude And took forever. They told us to come back the next day to get a refund we did that they made us wait even longer outside when the guy finally came wasn’t willing to help us in any bit fought us on every single complaint and then kicked us out of the office while we made the phone call to the reservation company we used. they did eventually refund our money under the force of the company made reservations but I can’t recommend it. I don’t know maybe it’s a hit or miss thing this year and I don’t think we’ll be back. I hope things get better here. I would also add that. It’s a pretty great location."

"This is a hidden gem of Gatlinburg & is perfect for nature lovers. The balcony is facing a beautiful creek & provides a very peaceful atmosphere to relax with your partner or by yourself. The room was quite clean & the layout of the bathrooms were perfect. I loved the modern touch that the bathrooms had! There was a slight odor to the room but it was minimal in comparison with the great value that Bear Creek Inn provides. It is perfect for a couple or a group of friends who are looking for something that is walking-distance from the strip. It is about a 10 minute walk from the strip & the walk is pleasant. Looking forward to staying here again soon!"
