Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant

"I’m beyond happy we have an actual Jamaican restaurant here in Peekskill! Lord knows this restaurant was very necessary for this area as a Jamaican! I don’t know why people even leave bad reviews or complain about the serving size and I can’t even finish a small plate of food! The food is amazing, the restaurant is very clean, and their bathroom is super clean for a public bathroom! I pray this restaurant never leaves Peekskill area!"

"I ordered curry chicken. The chicken smelled sour, it was undercooked ( red and raw inside) then it was extremely salty, and there were whole chicken legs in the order. I had never seen curry chicken served like this before. Unfortunately, the food wasn't edible. I threw up. I had to drive back to the restaurant to return the food. I requested a refund. I have patronized the Golden Krust in White Plains and Mt Vernon. Their food is exceptional. This Peekskill location every time I brought food it wasn't good. I'm done ✔️."

"BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE !!! I voiced my opinion when the cashier said this juice was $6! And although it tastes great (hence why it was the only reason why I walked in) I still feel as though the cup could be bigger. An employee felt it was ok to argue with me about my opinion on it being so much. And said “ well if $6 is too much you don’t have to get it” so rude ! And even my first visit I felt this negativity in the establishment. And even after I gave the cashier the money, they continued to treat me as if I wasn’t a paying customer and rudely asked “ so do you want it or not” AFTER I HANDED HER MONEY! WONT EVER BE GOING IN THERE AGAIN ! Not when they’re other authentic Caribbean cuisine within a mile radius of this place. Side note for the owner Mr.Lanier .. this incident occurred 10/08/22 around 5:30pm. Is such a shame you have staff misrepresenting all your hard work. I hope some disciplinary actions take place bc there’s absolutely no way they should be treating customers like this especially locals."

"so introduced my co-workers to this restaurant. 1. they don't answer phone 2. the portion of this sooooo ridiculous i use to work at a golden krust and buy from other golden krust and i have never seen a large food looking like a lunch special. Look at what they call a large food for almost $20 each.. ridiculous!!! come on this is not a good way to start. i have one co-worker that spend over 400. no jerk sauce or utensil for the 15 food purchase thru grub hub. IM NOT GOING BACK I WILL GO THE BRONX IF I WANT GOLDEN KRUST"
