"We had a delicious dinner at Ruchi! Each of the curries had great flavor, and the level of spiciness was exactly as we ordered it. The service was very good, and the dining room was attractive and clean. The restaurant is undergoing a name change (perhaps an ownership change also). As I live elsewhere, I hope the local community will support this restaurant since Peekskill desperately needs a South Asian restaurant."

"I don't know what happened to this place! I was the only patron. I was asked what to drink, ordered wine and it NEVER came!! Had to ask for water, no more crispy bread and accoutrement for the table. The restaurant is now dark and drab. Not warm and cozy at all. Reminds me of a Dr's office. I dislike the paper rolled over the tablecloths. The "paper" menus were dated , were out of 2 vegetarian appetizers I asked about. Food was "ok" but not worth coming for. I don't think they have much restaurant experience. A knife dropped from my table and server put it back on my table! Very odd!! I feel bad. They were nice BUT I Wouldn't recommend!"

"This long open restaurant has new ownership about two months ago. Planning to change name to Thali I think. Our first time coming since, and so glad we did. We weren’t the biggest fans of the old version. Now, you can tell the food quality is much better. We overheard the waiter telling another table that the chefs are new and from India. We spoke with the owner throughout our time there who was very welcoming and hospitable. You can tell he wants this to succeed. We had the Dosa Masala app which was wonderful (and fab chutneys), yellow daal, and the star was Chicken Chettinad- which we never had. Like chicken tikka masala but deeper, richer, perfect medium spice, and more complex spices. Finished with Gulab Jamun- little fried dough balls in honey syrup. Delicious. Loved it all. Definitely a different and better experience than previous management."

"1st time here and the first time eating Indian cuisine. The restaurant was clean and the staff friendly and professional. All the food was fantastic qnd I had plenty of left overs to enjoy the next day. We will definitely be back!"
