The General Muir is a modern American restaurant located in Atlanta, Georgia, that pays homage to classic New York Jewish Deli traditions. The restaurant, established in 2013, offers hand-crafted dishes such as house-cured pastrami and hand-rolled bagels, as well as innovative creations made with fresh ingredients. The name of the restaurant is inspired by the refugee transport ship that brought co-owner Jennifer Johnson's Holocaust survivor relatives to New York in 1949. "An amazing place to get brunch with quality prices. Food came out quick and piping hot. Their only downside was grits, too watery. Everything else was great, especially the fish and potatoes dish. Service was prompt and warm. The hostess somehow found an inside place for our table despite the busy Sunday brunch. Their biggest downside was drinks, did not impress."
