"50 years ago in December I took a 36.25 in steelhead into Ron Gervaise to get mounted. he was the only store around at the time. He sent the 18# fish to a guy in New Jersey to mount. I caught the fish in the little black hole onDec. 14 on a little Cleo . That was the only hole that was open. I had a 6 1/2 ‘ spinning rod with 8# test line and no net. I had to boot it up on shore and get out of the hole as the water was beginning to rise as the dam was open and I had to cross the river. I’m now in Florida and the Mount is on my wall. Thanks very much Ron……Bill Thomas..btw I used to live in North Syracuse"

"I don’t normally write reviews but this place deserves it. Awesome Shop and Owner! Went in for the first time to get my new setup spooled for this Salmon season. Moving recently to NY from Colorado, and typically only fishing for 5-10 LB trout, Salmon fishing is new to me but she answered all my questions, explained all the different setups I might see and what worked for her. She even tied it all on for me so I knew exactly what to do next time. Zana is awesome and her shop is great. I’m happy to support local business and I definitely won’t be going anywhere else for any of my fly fishing needs!"
