"Great, old-fashioned restaurant. Come early… like 2 hours early… if you want to go right in at opening. But in that early time, you get to chat with everyone else waiting, take pictures, enjoy the shade of the porch, etc. Their service model is very efficient, and food comes out very fast! Onion rings for $5? The best value there! They are huge and homemade and are the exact taste I have been looking for. Our ribeyes were good, potatoes large but only sour cream and butter. No alcohol served, but thanks to that we got out of there having ordered the most expense things on the menu and only paying $60! In 2023. Good luck leaving Longhorn for less than $100. We would come back here again and again."

"My family has been coming to this restaurant for many years but it has unfortunately gone downhill. When we went on a Sunday, they were out of all steaks except sirloin and trout, they stated this was because they are closed Mondays. We got our sirloin steaks and each one was over cooked. Another thing I don't like is how everything is prepackaged, butter is fake margarine spread, lemons are juice in a tear open packet, sour cream was in a tear open packet. Cheese for potato was a slice of kraft singles. Their fried green beans are good but I think a product bought somewhere else and just fried up here. Also, the service was not great. I entered to give my party size and name and the hostess was busy on her cell phone, she just told me to walk to the back and far right, she was too busy with her phone to walk us to table. I sincerely hope this place gets it's act together again, it could be something really special."

"What a great find if you are in the area. When we stopped this was the 51 year opened. The parking can seem a bit crazy as it's just a gravel parking lot but just find a spot and park. Trust me... It's worth it. Go in and get on the waiting list. I would guess you will always be on the list as busy as this place is. The menu has limited options but what I wanted was listed (steak). They do have chicken and fish but this is what we selected. Everything came out fast and cooked perfectly. I was shocked how fast it came out. To the point I was looking for it to be wrong (overcooked or undercooked), but that was not the case. Service was excellent and friendly even though this place was packed the service team was on point. Overall, I can't say enough great things about this place. Only issue I have is we don't have one closer to where we live (lol). If you are in Helens GA it's worth the 20 mile drive if you want a great steak at a great price. We can't wait to go back."

"Some really great food, and at an even better price. With food prices going up everywhere you look, I was shocked to find out that the prices on the menu were not last year's prices. My wife had the pork chops. These were above average chops. Not the thin ones you see at some restaurants. She had a huge baked potato and slaw. I had the hamburger steak, grilled onions and cheese topped it and a very large side of onion rings with slaw. My HS had a little char on it to add to the flavor. An awesome meal with my brother and sister-in-law. Great food and family. You can't beat it."
