"Expensive tasteless food burnt fried chicken ,tough chop, rubbery okra the Mac and cheese and biscuits were good but sure not cat head biscuits more like flat head biscuts"

"A serviceable meal. It's a walk-through line where you are served, not a buffet, as the previous restaurant was. They do offer to cook other options, for example, scrambled eggs are available but they'll cook fried eggs to order. Prices and options are clearly posted as you can see by my pictures. Unfortunately, my food was just barely warm by the time I got through the line and waited for my husband to pay and we were the only ones in line. The scrambled eggs, bacon, hash brown, and biscuit were good. The cheese grits were tasteless and the sausage was flat and tough. Staff was very friendly and very helpful. My feeling is that this restaurant will do well with tourists looking for a variety of foods. Our meal was pricy (just over $31) but we didn't go away hungry. My husband likened it to the chow line on his naval ship. We probably won't return."

"I gave them a chance. I figured I wasn’t going to make an assumption based on reviews. Well, I found there’s truth in so many negative reviews. Food was mediocre, there’s better fried chicken at Ingles! Mac n cheese was lukewarm, balancing an uncovered aluminum tray over warm water doesn’t work! Coleslaw needs a better recipe it was like white mush. Biscuit was great. Maybe they should concentrate on just selling biscuits they would make a killing! Oh btw there is a very efficient dining room attendant, she was cheerful and very service oriented! Won’t be back unless food makes a big turnaround"

"The pricing was not made clear. We ended up paying $53 for lunch!! Food was ok but not worth that price. It’s set up like a buffet but is really a cafeteria. They give you a tray, then a large glass that is difficult to balance. We will NOT go back!"

"We went to Dottie's for the first time. There were 2 tables, close together, who were talking about their food being cold. We were served right after them and our food was not cold at all. Matter of fact, our gravy was piping hot. I thought to myself, why blast the business to other customers when all you have to do is ask to speak with owner. Of course if you get your food and sit and talk, your food will not stay hour! Our experience was great. We did meet the owner, an outstanding guy! Hiawassee needs to really support this business. It is in the former Daniel's Steakhouse! Go meet the owner and staff. Friendliest restaurant staff I have met! If there is a problem while dining there, let them know!"
