Big Lots

"It was all right. Didn’t have what we went to look at, but I’m sure we waited too long. I didn’t notice anything that I thought was any better deal than anywhere else though."

"I recently moved to Maryville and needed a couch. My wife and I went to a few stores before stumbling upon Big Lots. Where I come from originally there are not very many Big Lots with good reputations. However, this store did look put together well and the staff seemed accommodating. After seeing the furniture I was intrigued by the competitive prices. My wife and I decided on a brown Jamestown couch which I have learned is very popular so they did not have any available then. We paid the full price up front as is the store policy. I would not have put down the full price or likely picked the couch if I knew how long it would take. We put the order down in October. The associate that was working with us originally said it should be here by November 20 which was perfect because our family was arriving right afterwords. Well that came and no call or anything so I reached out and learned that we were on a somewhat long list of orders to fulfill. This was not communicated to us so about half a dozen other purchases were ahead of us. This got to be confusing because on about two different calls I was informed of our spot on the list and it kept changing but not for the better. The reason I am writing this review is not because I have to wait for a couch and could not accommodate my family during Thanksgiving after they traveled but because I feel the transaction was shady. I would have preferred open and honest communication so I know what to expect. Big Lots does not seem to know when they will receive this specific couch just that they receive new shipments weekly. I also asked about reimbursement or compensation for not being honest and being late on delivery which they do not have any policy on as a store. Do not order furniture from here unless it is in stock or you want to wait months."

"Had to run in and pick up christmas decorations for my work and I was able to find everything I was looking for. I did have to purchase command hooks to hang lights and garland and the sticky part (both in the wall side and in the hook side) there was a portion of it that was not sticky at all. Seemed like it was defective and sold cheaper. Not happy with this at all, but it is a discount place so I guess this should not be a surprise. Still not happy though. The employees very very nice and helpful."

"I love buying my dog Tamara Jane toys from Big Lots. They are good prices for the quality. Plus she's a holy terror with them. She is a Labra Pointer and about 70 pounds and just turned a yr. old"
