Cromwell Manor Inn

"It has been years since I wanted to share feedback about a lodging experience online. I discovered Cromwell Manor Inn on Expedia when I spontaneously decided to spend a weekend at Storm King, just a short drive from the accommodations. I arrived around 8 pm after a long, rainy bus ride from Port Authority. Tory greeted me with the warmest welcome, and I instantly felt at home. He graciously took my bag and personally delivered it to my room, The Windsor, walking me through all the available amenities for my stay. Troy went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed before leaving me to the solitude I sought an hour outside the hustle and bustle of the city. The next day, he prepared a beautiful breakfast and assisted me in planning my trip to Storm King. Although I had only booked a two-night stay, on the second day, I had the pleasure of meeting the rest of the Cromwell Manor Inn family, including the wonderful owners. Troy treated me to another delicious breakfast, and I spent the remainder of my day exploring the grounds while witnessing the team joyously decorating the beautiful estate with Christmas decorations. Before heading back to the city, I had lunch next door at Jones Farm, following the Cromwell family's suggestion, and began planning my next stay. As a history buff, I was fascinated by the inn's history, feeling like I had been transported to another time. My room was cozy and warm, impeccably clean and well-preserved. A tour of the grounds revealed that each room was tastefully decorated. I had forgotten how easy it is to travel to the Hudson Valley for a little respite from the Manhattan hustle and bustle. Now that I've discovered this place, I won't stay anywhere else."

"Good breakfast. Friendly innkeeper. The house itself is dated, very few electrical outlets, and the property is poorly lit causing a safety hazard. Still a decent getaway from the big city, so I am glad I went."

"What an amazing piece of history. Add to that Troy's handling of the property and 5 star breakfast and you have the start of a great vacation. The Hudson Valley has some great places to visit including the Jones Farm right next door. We were up for a wedding but can't wait to visit again."

"Came here with my stepdaughter and her son for a nice long weekend from NC. The service was so friendly and comforting. They understood about our stay happening out of no where due to our original plans not being accommodating for a baby else where. They knew we needed immediate new arrangements and made it happen for us so smoothly and quickly. (Our original hotel choice was not a good one) Best stay I've ever experienced anywhere! Beautiful gardening and rooms with good energy! The history here is beautiful and the scenery of the mountains around us was a scene to be seen & with beautiful weather! I would definitely stay here on a random weekend once yearly all the way from NC just because it's a one of kind experience! The owner and staff are so welcoming and friendly to all of our needs and the politeness is overwhelmingly just beautiful!"

"We came here for a short getaway on a snowy weekend and were completely blown away by the nature and the views from the Manor. It’s located off the quiet road with views of the fields and the mountains. The house was built in 1800s and has all the antique charm. However all the rooms are perfectly organized with fully functional amenities including great heating, bath tubs and showers and large screen TVs. We came as a family and booked several rooms. I got to see many rooms in the Manor and the charming cottage. Every room is completely unique and beautiful in its own way. We had a great breakfast and also picked up other meals at a famous Jones farm that was a 2 minute walk from the house. The owners are really warm and welcoming and provided us with exceptional service. We visited a beautiful nature park with a museum and a bird watching trail located right across the road. Next time will go see Storm King Outdoor Art Museum which is also very close. We really enjoyed our weekend! It’s truly an amazing place and we cannot wait to come back!"
