Reviews
"Wasn't a planned stop but glad I did. Thought the customer service was fine but I didn't require a lot of help. Found a great pair of shoes that I've gotten TONS of complements on. If I'd had more room in my luggage, I'd have gotten them in all the colors."
"WORST STORE EVER!!!! I bought a pair of boots here and didn't wear them for a few weeks. When I did put them on it was for a weekend trip out of town. They completely fell apart after a mere 3 wearings!! I spoke to the owner/manager, Charlie, who said that if the manufacturer "Spring Street" won't give him a credit, he won't credit me. I showed him pictures of the boots and a receipt and all Charlie said is that it's "store policy" that there are no refunds/exchanges (even for damaged product) over 30 days. "He said it looks like I wore the boots 400 times" I contacted him on day 33. PLEASE DON'T SUPPORT THIS STORE!! I paid $168.00 plus tax for a pair of boots that were obviously defective. Horrible customer service. Take your money elsewhere!! RUN, DON'T WALK AWAY FROM TOOSH SHOES on Bleeker Street in NYC."
"The hard sell began the second I walked in the door. I told him flat out I wanted to look without the pressure and he said something rude to me. I told him that was unnecessary and I proceeded to look at every shoe in the place. Then I asked to try something on that was on sale, but it didn't fit right. I looked at something else similar, but too high a cost. He offered to run to the other store to get a larger size, so I said okay. Then I looked at another pair of boots, $158. Then another very similar (same maker) at half that price. Tried both on. Didn't end up loving the sale boots, but LOVED the expensive ones. The hard sell started again, and I said, "Nah...they're too much anyway." Then, he offered them to me at the sale price of the others, which meant they'd be half off. They were on the table that said half off, but he had originally told me they weren't. He said if I took both pair he'd give me these (the $158 pair) for half off. I questioned him three times to make sure I understood, then said okay. While the guy was gone to the other store getting the larger size of the other boots, he rang me up. Price was right - $173 for both. I had the $158 boots on my feet, and had my old shoes in the box, and everything was bagged up. Just waiting for the guy to return with the other boots, gonna try them on to be sure, and I'm done. So he gets back, I try them on, they're perfect, they box them up, and I start to leave. But he's ringing me up...again. I said, "I already paid for these...I paid for both of them together!" "No," he said, "that was only for the boots you have on." I said, "You SAID these were half off, if I got both!" "No, you misunderstood. Why would I give you a $160 pair of boots for half the price?" I said, "I don't know...why are any of these other sale boots half the price? You OFFERED that to me!" "No, I never did." If I hadn't LOVED those boots so much, I would've taken them off, and left without buying ANYTHING from these scumbags. But they got me. Writing this review so they don't get you too. As an aside, I still love both the boots. It's been two months, and so far they're great."
