"When I think hospitality, I don’t expect to find it at the dentist office. But they have it here. I went for an emergency visit with my mom who has dementia. They greeted her like a Queen. So patient, kind, helpful and understanding. When I realized I forgot her dentures at home, they offered to let her sit and wait in the chair while I ran home. They understood that I might go elsewhere (cause of darn insurance issues) and still treated her patiently and gave me cell phone numbers to stay in touch after. Beautiful, clean space. Amazing team- every single person. Thank you for making a difficult moment easier."

"editing my review as previously I had not liked the dental work done by one of the dentists there, but I got revision work done here today and it was done very well. Since it's a Tuesday it wasn't very crowded as the weekend that I was there and dr. Maria did a great job with both my upper molars and made sure that I was comfortable throughout. The dental assistant is very sweet and the facility is clean. Might be understaffed because the dental assistant has to keep going back and forth to open the door if anyone rings the door. Other than that I was satisfied with the fetal fillings today."

"I don’t usually write reviews but this dental office earned it! I have not gone to the dentist in years and felt a bit embarrassed about what the doctor would find. I was greeted with a smile, did not have to wait. The office was clean and had a warm ambient. Jackie introduced herself, made me feel comfortable, and welcome. She completed my X-rays and then I was seen by Dr. Izquierdo. Dr. Izquiero reviewed my x-rays and completed a full medical review. She did not rush the appointment and answered all my questions. She eased me with conversation during my cleaning and did not make me feel judged. Going to the dentist is a psychological struggle for me. The patience and empathy I experienced was superb. I got a deep cleaning and such much plaque was removed. I will be going back next week for a whitening treatment and will update my review. The office accepted my insurance (for cleaning and non cosmetic things). The prices for cosmetic procedures are affordable, practical, and there is full transparency. THEY ARE ALSO GREAT WITH PEDIATRIC PATIENTS."

"My experiences at New Smile Astoria have been excellent, successful, and calming. As someone who avoided dental visits and work for years, I had considerable trepidation about the work I knew I needed, and what pain might occur. The hygienists and doctor put me at ease through good counsel and great care. I got a root canal yesterday, with a crown to come next week, and felt no pain during the procedure, with modest fatigue afterward. I am grateful to have found a new, reliable, and actually enjoyable dental office."
