"I must express my deep dissatisfaction with the service provided at this clinic, and I caution potential patients to carefully consider other healthcare options. My experience with their communication has been notably poor. Despite their instructions for patients to call for prescription refills or with queries, my efforts to contact them via phone have been consistently overlooked. This lack of response has forced me into scheduling appointments with the doctor directly, which resulted in an exorbitant $900 charge for a mere 9-minute phone call. Additionally, it has been over 10 days since I reached out to the doctor with no acknowledgment or reply. This not only reflects a concerning disregard for patient communication but also adds to the financial and emotional strain of dealing with such unresponsiveness. Based on these experiences, I strongly recommend seeking healthcare services elsewhere for more reliable care."

"Doesn’t care about patients, talks in circles and is extremely unhelpful. Not to mention his office never answers the phone or returns VOICEMAILS for PRESCRIPTIONS. Don’t waste your time here. Every single time I’ve had to go in it was during my lunch hour. I’ve arrived on time every single time and the last time I went I had enough of it so I showed up 10 minutes late to my appointment. After checking in I STILL WAITED 45 minutes to be taken back. Once I got back there I knew typically I would sit in the room for an hour to wait for Childress to provide less than mediocre health care. I didn’t have time to wait on him like I always do so I told the nurse I needed to be seen fast and I can’t wait for hours on end like usual. I think she understood my frustration and got Childress. He came in and said that if I was on time to my appointment I would have already been back to work…. In every single appointment I’ve ever had I’ve waited 30 minutes to an hour to go back to the exam room and then another hour at least for this “doctor” to come in. He’s so full of it that it’s not even funny. I would’ve still been there if I arrived right at my appointment time and didn't speak up about not being able to wait all day for him. He’s a joke, doesn’t care about patients and needs a new profession."

"I am an insulin dependent type one diabetic. I’m writing this on a Thursday; I called the office on Monday to ask for a renewal on my insulin and as of Wednesday it hadn’t been refilled. Due to a series of high blood sugars from work stress I ended up going through my remaining insulin much quicker than I thought I would and have been out since Wednesday. I have called multiple times today literally BEGGING the office to verbally ask him to take the 30 seconds it takes to send in the correct prescription so that I can get my medicine today and avoid going to the emergency room for multiple hours. The first time I called was at 8:30am, it is now 12:45pm and still nothing has been done. My blood sugar is 435 and I need help. The woman at the front desk will not verbally let him know the urgency of my situation due to a policy technicality of only communicating via computer, despite them being in the same building. Policy and rules taking priority over human need in our healthcare system once again. I work with children from early morning to the evening— I do not have 5+ hours of time to visit an emergency room. I need my blood sugars to be in order before a full day of work tomorrow or I could end up needing days to recover and feel normal again. The total lack of empathy from the front desk and lack of urgency on Dr. Childress’ part is harmful and inexcusable."

"The reasoning, I only gave a two is because the office never answers the phone and you are on hold for hours before somebody does. The doctor himself is great. He’s been one of the best I’ve had it’s just office practices that need to be taken care of. Again when you call the office, they never answer and then a lot of times when they do the doctor never gets the messages so nothing is ever done."

"He has never been on time for his appointments. After seeing the nurse for basic blood pressure check, we’re always waiting in the room for almost 2 hours. When you finally see him, he gives a lengthy explanation in medical terms a regular person doesn’t understand for every question or comment you give. We have been trying to get a refill on medication we need for over a week now and the pharmacy has already sent multiple requests. We’ve called the doctor’s office multiple times leaving voicemails and waiting on hold for at least half an hour each time and no one picks up. If you want to waste your time, this is the place to be."
