This is from first hand experience with my own children. The entire staff is very warm and welcoming as well. There isn’t another pediatric dentist that I would want to take my children to, and I would travel if I had to for their dental care to continue to be in her hands. "The last few times I have called in regards to appointments I’ve had, the phone has continued to ring until it went to voicemail. I’ve left messages both times with details of who I was, who I was calling in reference to, as well as how to get in contact with me. I have not been contacted back and instead have had to call again repeatedly until someone answered the phone. Along with that, my son was seen when he was a week old and I was told he had a lip tie. I was told that if he was gaining weight, it wasn’t anything to be concerned about and itcould be revised later. I took him in for his 6 month appointment and was asked to fill out a questionnaire about his lip tie. It was then that I realized he was experiencing so many different issues that could potentially be associated with his lip tie. I was given a talk about how the lip tie can cause all these issues, as well as speech issues in the future and how it would be beneficial to have it released now. I scheduled the appointment to have it done (which unfortunately wasn’t until 2 months later) and planned to have it done. On the day of the appointment, I brought my son in for the procedure only to be told that at this point, he’s too mobile and she didn’t feel it was necessary to do the lip tie revision. I was told that since he’s gaining weight and “working through his other issues,” he can just have it released when he’s older and “more cooperative.” I was charged for this appointment and left feeling very defeated. I try to be a very understanding person, but as a full time working mom, I don’t have time to call the practice multiple times a day to schedule or change appointments. I would also expect that if I leave a message, it’s going to be returned. As for my son’s lip tie revision, I am extremely upset with the back and forth I have gotten in regards to the severity of it. If him being too mobile to have it revised in the future was an issue, I feel like that should have been explained at the first appointment I took him to so that I could make an informed decision then. Instead, it was blown off because the doctor was in a rush to get to other patients. I do appreciate the dental hygienists there because they have been extremely friendly, patient, kind and professional. I just feel that communication can be way better with the receptionist and the doctor can be a bit more consistent."
