"Well for a while we did like Willow Pet Salon! It was so much less stressful for our Pomeranian than pet smart! We even took the extra 30 min drive to take him somewhere we felt was more comfortable and professional! BUT…. After about a year we had a couple groomers before getting the same girl every time name who I won’t throw under the bus because I feel the owner is responsible for making sure the employees know their facts to work in a so called professional grooming place! But Pomeranians can not be cut tok closely! If their undercoat is cut into it will cause their hair to not regrow properly and this is what happened to us not once but twice! The first time we waited a while before returning and saw our vet to make sure this was the issue! We are not the type to just assume and attack! After being told our dog had “post grooming alopecia”. I still took him back and told them what was going on and specifically requested to not ever go as short as he previously had been done! She asked me how short I was like I don’t know it should be documented what was previously done and then was given a board to pick from! Well again I said I don’t know which we chose before but I was told the first time that we can’t go so short because that groomer knows this fact about his breed and it should again be documented in his records. Well when I picked him up he was even shorter than ever and had scans where he was cut too closely under his neck! I wasn’t happy but I said nothing g paid and left assuming maybe she was instructed to do it this short to attempt to get it back to one length as it hadn’t don’t since the first issue! But now it’s worse and isn’t growing back much at all anywhere! I hate to complain and I am not one to do a bad review just move on, but after attempting to make contact and getting one email response from the owner who asked me for all these details that they should have in his records I was upset and when i responded and then never heard back i emailed yet one more time and still crickets! She responded very timely the first time saying “if it was an issue that was their fault it would be refunded etc etc! I explained that we paid an add $250 at the vet to check for other causes and this was the outcome and wanted to be compensated for than and refunded for the last two grooming! Again crickets so needless to say that’s why I’m here and plan to go to other social media platforms soon if I don’t get any response! I gave her the vets infor she asked for so I know she got the verification that it was not a lie! So this has left a bad taste to say the least and us searching for a new groomer we can actually trust the photos attached show one year ago in may and then two days ago June 12th he was last groomed there in April so should be better and hasn’t grown in most places at all and he looks a different color and def not full the before pictures was a month an a half after grooming and had grown back a lot already by then"
