The Six Twenty at Bedford is a historic property located at 620 Railroad Avenue in Bedford, Virginia. This building has a rich history, once serving as an axe handle factory, tobacco factory, and rubber factory. Now, it is being transformed into a mixed-use commercial space with 58 apartments, an on-site gym, yoga studio, storage facilities, and more. The first floor will feature Benny's pizza, known for their famous 'Virginia Slice', as well as other commercial tenants to be announced soon. The goal of The Six Twenty is to give the town of Bedford a re-imagined use of this historic building and create a beautiful space for residents and the community. Additionally, there will be a coffee shop, artisan market, and more on the premises. This transformation is breathing new life into a once-vacant building and providing a fresh and exciting space for the community to enjoy.

"I like that our apartment has an elevator and a dishwasher with a washing machine and dryer. But I also have problems. If you move here, you will be living directly on a train track. Which means pretty frequently you will hear loud trains and horns pass by your apartment and shake your entire place. And if they tell you it’s sound proof, it’s not true. We hear everything very clearly. I also feel as though I’m paying too much for such a small apartment. But I do like that’s it’s new and has modern appliances."
