Reviews
"This bed and breakfast was wonderful. The owners were very accomodating. The 3-course breakfasts were 5-star...so delicious. The rooms were cozy and comfortable. It was nice that each had its own bathroom. Would stay here again and would recommend it to others."
"We took our 3 grandkids to riding lessons on 2 occasions at this facility. Sadly our experience was quite mixed and a bit concerning. One of the primary instructors was repeatedly rude & dismissive to our young riders, expressiing impatience and generally unkind in tone & manner. From other posted reviews with similar experiences, this seems to be a pattern. Her overall behavior and inappropriate comments were distracting, and counter to a safe & healthy learning environment. On the other hand, another lead instructor was both encouraging, helpful and positive. After viewing a seriously injured horse in isolation with no immediate care to a seious leg injury, we also have serious concerns about the safety & care of the herd. When one of the owners saw we were aware of the situation, she appeared upset and rudely asked us to leave the area. No signage posted on any restricted areas and no disclaimers. I rarely post to social media. I post this review for the public's awareness in the hopes it will prevent similar experiences for others seeking riding instruction, and hopefully to alert this operation to further oversight and needed changes in its program. We are experienced equine handlers and do NO rrecommend this program for riding instruction, especially for younger folks. We will be pursuing further investigation with the authorities."
"I had high hopes for this place, especially since it's near the area where my Dad grew up (he passed in 2018). I'd been looking at it online for some time and thought I'd have the great experience I saw on some of the reviews. I was in deep need of a respite and thought this place would be the one. I drove over an hour to get there. I arrived around 4:15 and settled in. After about two hours, I started hearing shouting, loud whooping, and banging noises. I thought maybe some young adults were having a wild party below me. I would have put in earplugs, but NONE of the locks worked in the whole building (not even the main entrance), so felt unsettled with this option. I pushed one of the chairs in front of the door, but still felt uneasy. I wanted to contact the owners in the main building, but there was zero internet or cell phone access in that location. One of the travel sites listed wifi as an amenity, but that's not true. I quietly gathered my things and left after only being there 4 hours. Come to find out, the game room was right below, which is available to ALL guests. If this had been listed on the site, I could have chosen another room (although not sure, given the fact that the locks didn't work). But what was even worse than all this was the owner's reaction. She didn't care a jot about my experience and was very rude and confrontational about it. I had thought I might go back another time to see if the experience would be different, but sadly, I won't be returning, not even for the horse rides, given the owner's rudeness. There are other places in the area to sign up for these rides...and frankly, I was shocked by the condition of some of the horses. They have far too many and not enough food/handlers to care for them all."
"Our Son loved his week long summer camp! Ron and Kathleen took wonderful care of him and he enjoyed it so much! Diesel was so patient and Corbin loved It and learned so much! Thank you!"
"Sister in law and her husband renewed their vows here. Fantastic service from the lovely owners. Beautiful scenic views and a warm and cozy main house with side cottages for other visitors. Food made by the owners was homemade and delicious. Like something out of a Hallmark movie."
