"If you are at all in favor of your child being treated like an individual and receive medical care based on his or her own individual needs and circumstance, do NOT go to Dr. Tamara Sutherland. Honestly, if I could give zero stars, I would. We opted to not do the Hep B shot for our brand new baby and denied it again at his two month appt. Both times, I was shockingly met with intense judgment, but at his two month, she looked me dead in the eye and said, “There is no greater mom guilt than watching your child die from a preventable disease.” My jaw hit the floor and we never went back. And just for the record, we aren’t “anti-vax” and did all the others on the schedule. Guess that wasn’t enough. Dr. Sutherland, what about the mom guilt I’d feel watching my child unnecessarily endure a severe (and possibly life-altering) adverse reaction to a medication he doesn’t need?"

"Dr. Charity Brown is the best pedestrian ever. I feel very comfortable that my kids are under her care. She is a great listener and teacher. She is non judge mental and listens to my perspectives no matter how big, small or silly with an open heart and gives unbiased feedback. Her nurse Jasmine is also very knowledgeable, loving and kind. Being a newcomer to the VA area- I am so happy I did thorough research and found an amazing team of people who treat my kids as their own."

"Dr. Brown is very knowledgeable and has impeccable bedside manners. My children love her! The nurses and staff are friendly as well. I like that after hours care is provided if needed. A separate sick child entrance is convenient. Would definitely recommend."

"We have nothing but good things to say about this office. They were able to fit us in next day after my son was born a few weeks early and we've been able to come in same day for other issues. They handled his jaundice and our new parent anxieties amazingly. Dr. Charity Brown is a joy and so is her nurse. We also saw Dr O'Boyle once and he was also wonderful and helpful. Thanks so much!"

"We have been seeing Dr. Charity Brown for many years now and she is absolutely great!!! We highly recommend her services. However, there are a couple of issues: 1. The wait time is something that they don’t care about. Almost always more than half hour!!! Today, after many years of tolerating this, I did provide my feedback at the clinic. Unfortunately, the person noting it down did not seem to want engage or know more about the issue. Why this apathy? Is our time not important? 2. Also, I wish the nurses take more effort in making sure they pronounce the name properly. We are in 2021 and this is a racially diverse area. “Cannot be bothered” attitude about how we address patients is quite unsettling! Thanks"
