Collins House Bed and Breakfast

"We spend a lot of time traveling and stay at bed and breakfasts. This one right here is by far hands down the best one ever. It is the first house that we have stayed at that was owned and ran by the same people. They greeted us at night and cooked a perfect breakfast in the morning and even gave us some baked goodies for the road. They were informative of the area and of the houses ownership and history. Perfect"

"This place is kept meticulously clean. There are a couple of rooms in the house to grab a hot drink and lounge about. The breakfast was a gourmet treat. Although located on a main road the place was quiet. Rocking chairs on the front porch and a gazebo in the backyard are nice choices to rest after hiking about town. The owners were 5 star as well - made you feel at home."

"My wife and I just spent 3 wonderful nights at the Collins House. I can't say enough good things about our stay. The rooms (we stayed in "the George") were well decorated and comfortable. The breakfasts were top rate and our hostess was friendly and helpful (not to mention she was also a great cook). If anyone were to ask me I would definitely recommend a stay at the Collins House. One last thing...we met the nicest guests who were also staying there. That place attracts nice people."

"The Collins House really changed our dubious opinion of Bed & Breakfast establishments. Let me clarify that we are Motorcoach and Marriott people and the few times we tried B&B's were pretty disastrous. We went to Marion, Virginia to see our friend Tim White's show, Song of the Mountains at the Lincoln Theatre. Collins House is about a block and a half away. The home is charming inside and out; we enjoyed the flowers and beautiful garden-like grounds, with porch sitting and rocking. Inside, I felt completely at home, surrounded by inviting, comfortable, but very tasteful furniture and decor. The breakfast meals were superb, with every attentiveness directed at tasty delicacies in exceptional presentations. Rod and Carol need no signs about hospitality for it abounds in every aspect of the stay at the Collins House, a charming and extremely valuable rest haven while visiting the area. There are no other accommodations in the area for comparison, so staying elsewhere will be your loss, but staying there, will be your gain. If I had corporate business in the Marion area, there is no way under the sun that I would stay anywhere but the Collins House. It would be my SW Virginia business address. And you can take that to the bank!"
