"My wife and I throughly enjoyed staying at the General Francis Hotel. The town was alive with people and businesses enjoying a night out. Be sure to stop by the Wooden Pickle for great food to add to the experience."
"We checked in around noon for a party at the hotel at one. When we got there the toilet had a sanitized sticker on it but inside the lovely bowl was toilet paper and pee. I kinda shrugged it off and just laughed. Went to the party and got back to the room around 11pm and crashed. We had a 9 hour drive the next morning so we got up at 5am to get on the road. Went to shower and there was no hot water. A shower to wake up before driving was kind of important. Then as I was packing up my bathroom stuff I didn't get to use I noticed that my side of the bed (bed frame) was covered in macoroni. Moldy disgusting macoroni. Not sure how this could possibly be missed especially if the sheets were changed. As I was checking out I told them about our issues. I was offered a huge discount off of 10%. What a joke!! Too tired to argue. Today one week later I check my bill and realized I didn't even get my 10% off. We will be traveling to this area a few times a year. I would definitely not ever stay here again, even if they paid me!"
"Great staff, clean rooms, perfect location for events on the fun little town of Marion, VA. Also want to mention that I forgot something in my room, let them know and they got it back to me with no hassle. Great job on something beyond a normal stay."
"Beautiful place to stay. Lots of antique furniture. Very polite freindly staff. The town shuts down at ten so if you need anything other than sleep get it before then."
"Great visit and room. Hotel front desk will bend over backwards to accommodate your needs. Restaurant left a lot to be desired. Loud, Mexican music and foreign tv channel that you could understand. Not recommended"
