"We stayed here for about two months this year (2023). The owners are very friendly and accommodating. The sites are plenty wide and spacious. They frequently host little events like pot lucks, cake walks, and even church services on occasion. Our stay here was without a doubt, good for the soul."
"Close to the lovely town of Abingdon, we spent two weeks in this wonderful park. The first morning I noticed how quiet it was. Just birds, the river and children playing. This camp has a nice play area with volleyball, basketball, a large play field and a pool. Alas, we were there after the pool was closed for the season but given how well maintened everything else was, I am certain the pool will also be tended carefully. By the time we left people were decorating for Halloween. Fun to watch! We had our dogs with us and they were welcomed, leashed and picked after, of course. Overall, we highly recommend Riverside Campground."
"Perfect campground close to the great channels! Owners are on site and super friendly and accommodating! Campground is clean and beautiful. We were tent camping and so the bathrooms were important. Although outdated they were the cleanest bathrooms. Didn’t even have to wear shower shoes, next morning they were cleaning them again. Beautiful clean campsites, ice and wood on site, cheaper than the stores.10 minutes from downtown Albingdon for grocery store and little town. 30 minutes from the channels. We will be back. Perfect location to hit a lot of hiking spots. We rented from Friday through Monday but unfortunately we’re rained out. Reason to come back and explore what we didn’t get too! Highly recommend!!!"
"Can't say enough good things about the folks at Riverside. I make sure to pay compliments every visit. Cleanest bathrooms you'll find anywhere, they have everything you want in a campground in the most humble way. Pool, game room, River access, basketball, volleyball, playground, hookups at every site, ice and firewood in the campground office as well as other odds and ends. We keep going back because we love it so much."
"This was a nice campground. All the riverside sites are tent only. Nice playground, swimming pool, game room (pool), basketball was fun for some entertainment with the kids. Surprised how many sites are seasonal. Lots of decks built on them. Overall very nice place. Oh, can't forget fishing even though nothing was caught. ."
