Our cozy suites offer a home-like environment for your dogs while you are away. Our dedicated staff will ensure that your furry friends are well taken care of, with personalized attention to their needs and preferences.
We welcome older dogs and those requiring special care, including administering medication. You can bring your own food, treats, toys, and bedding to make your dogs feel at home. We also offer dog walks, visits, and cat visits in the Amissville area.
As proud members of the International Association of Canine Professionals, we prioritize the comfort and well-being of your dogs. They will have the opportunity to stay together in the same suite, relax, and enjoy the beautiful views of the countryside. During the summer, we even offer swim time in our dog pool for water-loving pups.
Our facility features spacious suites with doors and windows, allowing your dogs to watch the wildlife and enjoy the outdoors. We provide stainless steel bowls and a full kitchen for food preparation and storage. Additionally, we offer transportation services for your convenience.
For grooming services, please book in advance. Your dog can also receive a bath, blow dry, brushing, and light trimming during their stay with us. At Golden Retreat For K9s, we strive to provide a safe and comfortable retreat for your beloved pets.

"Awesome facility .. feels like home, with indoor/outdoor suites for the dogs that don't feel cagelike. Indoors the suites extend into a living room like area. Outside is a big fenced play area. Professionally run with ability to provide individualized attention because it's small, not a big dog care warehouse. Our dogs were able to stay together in a good sized suite. Price is good too. A number of really big dogs - definitely a perfect place for large dogs. Our dogs were well cared for on a long stay, and we can definitely recommend!"
"I am a local veterinarian and I board my dogs with Golden Retreat. They are always excited when we pull up and want to run back to their suite (and then out back to play). Over the years my dogs have received excellent care. From a veterinarian's perspective, the folks at Golden Retreat have always recognized and sought care for the occasional medical issue they have noticed in a boarder. Having such a high quality boarding facility in the area is one of the reasons I do not feel the need to offer boarding at our nearby veterinary hospital."
