"I do not recommend Virginia Oncology to anyone. My husband went for 6 months to this practice because of a very low hemoglobin. They would have him infused with iron then return in 2 weeks or tell us to go to a hospital near to us to get a unit of blood because they didn’t have any openings. They recommended for him in the chart that he have a ct scan but never told us about it nor scheduled it. This went on for 6 months as my husband grew weaker and weaker. We were begging for someone to help us when a doctor friend told us that we needed to go to Duke or he wouldn’t be here as weak as he is getting. So a word to everyone out there. Please take care of your love ones snd take them to a medical practice that cares about you."

"In the past my visits have been great. On my last visit everything went the downhill. The nurse that took my blood was new to me, I usually see the same people. She pushed the needle in and no blood flowed, so she pulled it out some and then rammed it back in. I jerked back, just reflex, and blood started running around my arm. She did apologize and I said that's okay. I was moved on down the hall to a room by a nurse. This nurse never opened her mouth to greet me. Once we got in the room she checked my blood pressure and other vitals. Then we got to where I tell her the medicine I'm taking , after I confirmed a couple and denied a couple, she grabs a sheet of paper and hands it to me and tells me to write them down. Okay. After asking a few questions, she leaves and tells me the doctor will be with me shortly. I chalked it up to maybe she's just having a bad day. Later I go back and look over the information that I gave the nurse. Where it asks about joint pain and Musculoskeletal pain she put none. First of all I was never asked the question. Second, I have had arthritis in my ankle since 2020 and it's gotten worse over the years. I am taking Oxycodone 7.5 and that barely touches the pain. Not to mention the swelling in my leg, ankle and foot. So I called back and asked where this false information came from and was told it was the nurse. I let her know that I wasn't even asked about that and that it needed to be corrected. She said she would tell the nurse and let her call me back. That was weeks ago and I haven't heard a word. I'm hoping that things will not continue to head in this direction. I believe her name tag said Cynthia. I hope I can avoid her in the future."

"The staff at Obici’s Radiology Treatment Office are an exceptional group of medical professionals. They’re very thorough and friendly from the front desk to the doctors and the treatment staff…they’ve made my cancer journey a lot more tolerable and it’s always a pleasure going there for my daily treatments."

"I have been visiting Virginia Oncology Obici - Suffolk sense the begining of this year. The entire Team from Main Entrance Staff to Dr Sile's Oncology Team of Nurses/ Asst., Registration, Hematology & chemo Staff have been a significant part of My personal Journey with a breast cancer diagnosis. I have to be totally honest, in the beginning I was horrified, nervous and unclear of My future. I had a sister pass of cancer over 20 years ago and I was there to witness a lot of Her journey. I told Myself to stay as positive as possible, create a strong mind set and have Faith to get through this. Some days were not so good, though I had to push through it, the drs and staff gave Me the knowledge I needed to understand. In the medical field to Me, there's a fine line between being personal and being professional and together with communication We have been able to bridge the gap and come to a clear understanding that We are all in this Journey together. Dr Sile with VOA has proven to Me to be a concerned and knowledgeable doctor in Her practice and has the team that supports her decisions to follow through. Respectfully My prayer is that no one will have to visit VOA, though if under the circumstances You do, I truly recommend VOA to help guide you through your Journey. Thank You & Be Well ~ JaQ"
