"I only shop here because it is closer than Kroger. The produce is awful. Salads moldy or just wet goop. The onions and potatoes always have black mold and flies around them. Every item must be checked to confirm it’s in date. Milk fridge or the back isn’t kept appropriate temperatures, leading to mold growth inside of sealed creamer and milk. To top it off, the bakery worker was very mean and dismissive when I was trying to get a cake. Clearly ruining her day by asking about toppers and my options for nut free cakes. She was snippy and yelled at me when I asked. The online coupons do not work most of the time and the workers do not know how to override or make them work. One example is a “spend 100$ on gift cards, save 20$!”deal. Got two 50$ gift cards, but no discount was applied. The worker shrugged and bagged them, didn’t ask if I still wanted them. I stood there just… confused? Upset? The prices aren’t better than Kroger or Walmart, so really it’s a matter of driving convenience. But after many bad experiences, bringing home rotted or moldy food on accident, and being yelled at- I’m not sure I can continue to shop here. Picture taken 12/21/23 (this is how the produce always looks. This time being less gross than usual). I want to be clear here: I have an education in agriculture, I know soil growing produce are prone to mold. The black mold is dangerous to inhale and ingest. You can wash and cut away black mold on an onion IF you are not immunocompromised, but do not inhale it! Some mold is to be expected, but having entire sections full of wet rot and black mold is not acceptable for a grocery store."
